Notice The Personal Insults have to stop!

HCP and I agree to insult each other with humor....like mags and I used to...we like each other's insults because it's just light hearted...I'm willing to have this arrangement with anyone here ....I don't mind insults that make me laugh...jlprk makes me laugh...Sly makes me laugh...barfo makes me laugh...it's why I frequent the forum really....it's not what you say....it's more how you say it. Friends can smack talk in good spirits...it's the ugly angst that sucks...I thought at one time it might be a good thing here to have likes listed by number and without names....people get angry sometimes because I like somebody's post that they are arguing with....that could change the hatfield McCoy vibe that seems to have rooted itself in here like a session of Congress

Please don't lump us all into one group. Besides I've heard this place was getting bad before O-Live closed down.

I lump you into the Blazer fan lump.

The Lumpty Dance is your chance to do the lump
Do the Lumpty Lump, come on and do the Lumpty Lump

Ya know, when ya have a Prez who has lowered the bar so far on insults etc, is it a surprise that many forum members have "lowered the bar" as well? I mean we can say whatever we want right, with little to no consequences? For me its a sad sign of the times. Be nice if we all tried to be better and show some respect.

I think it’s kind of a microcosm of where the team is at. A lot of the people in here posting at this point are passionate about the Blazers, but the season didn’t end the way anyone wanted it too. There are a lot of strong willed passionate people who have very different opinions on how to make the team better next year and moving forward. I bet when the Blazers are winning or have a successful season the tone around here is different.

@SlyPokerDog If we want to insult someone can we still say something along the lines of "Fuck You SlyPokerDog" or "SlyPokerDog is an ASSHOLE" even if it is pretty obvious we aren't talking about you.

Like others have mentioned, sometimes people just need to call someone an asshole.

Corrective action would certainly help, but I won't hold my breath on that happening soon.

This is very true and further more, some posters will disappear when winning happens but resurface when losing happens. This makes the winning times even more peaceful.

In the Similar threads at the bottom there is a pretty similar thread from 2013. Just pointing it out.

I'd prefer that you don't insult anyone but if you really need to.... and I am an asshole.

This forum was cake to run when the Blazers were on a 13 game winning streak, lol.

Yeah and I’m fairly new here and opinionated so maybe I am also making excuses for my self too. O-live had its moments as well. I try to steer clear from letting things get personal, but it happens.
I just wanted to point out that when the Blazers are in the conference finals next year we will be better behaved heh.

How about you moderators focus more on getting rid of obvious trolls doing nothing but baiting people, and on deleting inflammatory threads instead of leaving them open for a day.

That way you can focus less on bitching about the inevitable insults that are a direct result of your failure to moderate the forum effectively. If you want to keep defending trolls because they haven't said anything that falls under your arbitrary definition of "personal insult" then shut up and reap what you sow.
uhhhh BURN

It's just like back on Olive. Blazers win, very few posters around. Blazers lose and all of a sudden posters are coming out of the woodwork and new monikers showing up to bash the owner, the management, the coach and the team. Seems very similar here but more bitching seems to be on a daily basis. We are all passionate fans but never understood so much anger from fans when things don't go according to plan.

I didn't develop a bait and troll policy. I just don't want to make some rule against it. Less rules are better. Better for the members, better for staff.

Yes, it would be nice to let people do what they want in this community as long as they don't insult others.

Yes, I do love to bitch!

Actually the microban thing could be pretty quick and easy, instead of reading through a couple of hundred posts in a thread I just pull up the moderation logs for each thread. There I can see who did what to whose post. If I see a person have more than 3 posts edited or deleted I'll just remove that person from that thread. It's three clicks of a mouse.
Three insults are more than I need to get the point across
