he Blu-Ray player on the PS3 is bad from what I heard, and also HDDVD is better than Blu-Ray quality wise as well. Also the games on the 360 destroy all of PS3's. What game will you get with your PS3?

I personally would way rather have a 360 and a wii for the same price as a PS3.
 
I'm confused about the Xbox 360.

It doesn't play if you don't have an HD-TV?

i got to play the playstation 3 on the playstation tour bus thing. its nothing special madden seems to be the same on the 360.

NO, it is just better on HD tv's. The lower price one has no hard drive (so you can't save anything) and it comes with a wired controller, not wireless. YOu don't get a headset adn a few other little gadgets. The premium system is definately the way to go if you want a 360.
 
Ok thanks I got it. I would get it ,but I would have to work really hard to make around $400.

And I'm pretty sure the price isn't dropping anytime soon.

metal gear, final fantasy, ratchet and clank, kill zone, jak and daxter, resident evil, silent hill, oblivion, resistance fall of man - these are what is coming out.

All 360 has is Halo - the most over-rated game ever marketed.

And spend twice as much on games? (one for 360 and one for Wii).

You end up spending more in the end.
 
I'm gonna grab a PS3 as well...gotta wait a few weeks though.

I dont see the appeal of the wii, I'd only want it to play the O.G games like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Conkers Bad Fur Day etc. but I can always pull out my N64 if I ever want to play them. The new controller seems like a stupid concept, while more interactive, it has no appeal to me. The graphics look the same as the N64 from the previews I've seen of it.

Well my N64 was stolen, and while I can get roms, I'd rather play the classic games on a tv with a controller instead of on a computer with a keyboard.

The graphics are definitely better than N64 graphics, maybe you're thinking of GameCube.

See, you think the controller is a stupid concept.. while I think it'll be fun and unique compared to the regular controller system that's been used forever. Not to mention you'll still be able to use a regular controller for some games.
 
I saw some guys playing some racing game on the Wii at gamestop yesterday. The graphics didn't seem to be all that better than PS2, Xbox to be honest with you. Maybe it was the game.
 
Early on most next gen games aren't all that special, developers need a feel for the game.

Gears of War is the only truly next gen game out there and it took a year after the 360 to come out for it to happen.

My girlfriends sister works for a marketing firm that is handling the PS3 launch in canada...i'm gonna get my hands on 2...YEEE HAAAWWWW

gonna hang onto one and probably sell the other one closer to christmas

I heard (not certain) that ebay won't accept PS3s on their site.
 
They're selling pre-orders which are going up to $2500 plus. There's always other places to sell though.

Why would anyone be dumb enough to spend that much on a console. And if it busts up they are screwed.

Me and my friends were at a GameStop yesterday and we saw the kids playing NBA 07 ON PS3. That thing was so damn shiny. For NBA 07 though, the graphics were awesome.

I plan on getting a 360, so I asked the guy what he suggests is a better system and he totally slammed PS3. He said something like the whole recharging batterys for the wireless controller is a sham or something.

Wow, I better not get a PS3 now. The recharging the batteries thing what a system killer...

You just get what you want based on what you like...or if you are a fanboy of a system.
 
I was following a bid on ebay for PS3 on Friday morning. There were 6 minutes left and it was at $4000. In 6 minutes, the bid went from 4g's to 15 grand! It may have been bogus, but still...people can't wait 3 months? Spending 2-4000 bucks on something they can get for 600. I dont get it.
 
I think I said it before more money then sense.

It's the whole I must have it before everyone else thing that people suffer from.

Man I can wait, I got plenty of PS2 and X-Box games to play, I don't need to spend $4000 on a console which has an increased chance of stuffing up then when I can get it for a lot less then even $600 ($1000 in Aus) and less of a chance of stuffing up.
