The Post Up Game?

I watched the game last night and couldn't figure out why Portland doesn't post their guards up more especially against a team like Phoenix. Andre Miller was backing Nash down early on and Roy was getting high percentage looks in the paint late in the game. Roy is pretty tenacious down low and has that quick second jump if he misses.

Roy is hands down the best back to the basket player on the team. He can score with either hand, has a nice up and under move, can make his FTs if fouled, and gets to his spots whenever he wants in single coverage. He also reads double teams well enough to pass out of them and find the open man.

Edit: Roy finished 5 for 7 from the top of the key and in last night.

Aldridge should be posting up much more often and using his length and high release to keep from getting his shot blocked.

I think that is how Miller can help the most. Miller's best offense is the post up game. he draws fouls, finds open players and has some good moves down low.

I want to see Nate use Miller more in the post . . . I think being a threat in the post is a great role for him on this team.

Thank You. I'm so tired of hearing LA needs to quite flailing around the perimeter and get down in the blocks - he TRIES! Even when he does get down low, he's not real wide so teams can front him pretty easily and there just isn't a passing lane.
