QUOTE (Dumpy)

Let's have at least one positive thread today.

I'm startin' to believe, Dumpy.

QUOTE (cpawfan)

The observation was based not on an inventory of or even cursory familiarity with your observations about Sean but upon your manifest habit of devaluing anything and anyone connected to the team who enjoys even a modicum of popular appeal among other fans (aside from Jason Kidd and your dearly departed K-Mart). One day you may luck up and discover that to be contrary is not necessarily to be right.

Until then, I'll try to hide my shock when you reply to this post for the same reason you replied to the last one . . . not because you have anything new to say but because you must always have the last word.

Wow, you just demonstrated a tremendous amount of ignorance. Kidd isn't even close to my favorite Net. I simply respect his game far more than I respect Vince's.

Krstic, RJ and Boki are my 3 favorite Nets. I give my honest opinion on every Net at all times.

Since "tremendous ignorance" implies a lack of knowledge about something of actual weight or substance, one could hardly demonstrate "tremendous ignorance" of something as trivial as your personal favorite Nets players. And if you read again, maybe you'll actually understand that your "favorite" players was never even in issue nor was in any way relevant to the observations I made.

The issue is your oft-demonstrated propensity to adopt a view contrary to that of a populace because you somehow think contarianism relfects more insight, discernment, or intellect. Sometimes it actually does. The problem is you don't know when it does and when it does not.

Again, the point is that you are absolutely wrong in your belief that I am contrarian. Who my favorite Nets are is on point in demonstrating your lack of knowledge. You are the one that continues to falsely claim that I only speak positively about Kidd.

I don't have a different view point on the Nets from the "populace" as a gimmick, rather I have stated beliefs about the Nets that I stand behind and I don't change my tune to align myself opposite the populace.

My supposed contrarian resume:

[*]Wanted Frank to play Zoran more
[*]Believe that Twin provides more to the Nets than his stats
[*]Don't believe Vince is as important to the Nets as Kidd is
[*]Was against the signing of McInnis
[*]Was against the acquisition of SAR
[*]Didn't believe the Linton hype
[*]Was against the drafting of Wright over Granger
[*]Wanted Frank to play Boki
[*]Don't believe Boone is better than Twin
[*]Don't believe Marcus will be a special point guard
[*]Laughed at the Marcus / Deron comparisons
[*]Don't believe that Sean will be a special big man
[*]Believe that the Nets as currently constructed are no better than a second round playoff team[/list]

Then how come there aren't more threads made about you?

Well it's funny you ask that, because it's the complete opposite end of the spectrum, when comparing KC to cpaw.

cpaw-----------------------------------------------------------kc

ultimate suckiness -------------------------- ultimate awesomeness

More threads should be made about my ultimate awesomeness.

Don't beleive Cpawfan, he's the same guy who beleives in Mateen Cleaves. he also wanted the Nets to draft bellinelli.

Still waiting for your "proof" on Cleaves

It is hilarious that you think mentioning Belinelli is some sort of insult.

I've seen cpaw with his airbrushed shirts of Cleaves and AJ Granger.

Of course, he'd want the Nets to draft Belinelli, it's because he wears make-up, they have a lot in common.

What's hilarious to me is that you actually wanted the Nets to draft the Italian Vince Carter.

I'm not sure how you can objectively watch Sean Williams play the way he's played, in the first 10 games of his NBA career no less, and come to the conclusion that he's not a special talent.

If you were arguing that he's due for knee surgery in 2 years, or that he's bound to fall off the wagon into substance abuse, or that he just won't be able to handle the mental work and rigor of an NBA defense, then we'd be talking about a different issue. But the kid is clearly freakishly talented, and all reports out of camp are that he's working hard and taking notes from Collins.

What is it, exactly, that makes you think he's no more than a bench player/mediocre starter?

That is priceless, wrong, but priceless

I'm not going to change my opinion of someone based upon 10 games as that would be ridiculous. Boone had a nice 10 game stretch last season.

Williams is a freakish athlete, not a freakish talent.

Sean Williams is by far my favorite player on the Nets. His defensive timing is amazing and he's fun to watch.
