Yep....if season ended today.
Well yeah, isn't that what the standings are?? If the season ended today, these are the standings. Or should we just list the teams alphabetically until the season is over?

Please let me know how 3 teams tied with 15 games to go has anything to do with listing them alphabetically? Then again, I could say 2+2 is 4 and you'd find some way to tell me how I was wrong. I love that you pay so much attention to almost every post. I'm flattered....lol.

2+2 is 3.
One symbol, two numbers.

Thought you'd know this.

I'm saying that the standings including the current tiebreakers are always listed AS THEY NOW STAND. The Jazz currently have the tiebreaker so they are currently in 8th. ESPN.com, NBA.com, TNT etc get this but for some reason you don't. I have nothing against you personally. The Jazz are 8th. As of now. In the actual standings. As of now, they aren't tied.

And the alphabetical comment wasn't clear I guess. My point was that if you have to wait til the end of the season to rank teams, you might as well list them alphabetical until the season is closed. That no rankings matter til then. I'm right on this. Nothing against you personally.

@KingSpeed ...you are always right. No one else should ever even post or have an idea, opinion or fact that doesn't 100% agree with yours. We are all humbled.

Pelicans: 38-28, next 6 - @ Kings(W), vs Wizards(L), vs Jazz(L), vs Hornets, @ Spurs, vs Rockets. Easy stretch...projected 5-1

Spurs: 37-30, next 6 - @ Warriors(L), @ Thunder(L), @ Rockets(L), vs Magic, vs Pels, vs Wolves. Brutal stretch....projected 2-4

Blazers have opened up a 3-game lead in the loss column but still need to keep winning.
Thunder get an easy game next against the Hawks....almost one of those 'guaranteed' wins.
Spurs falling fast. It's possible that BOTH the Spurs and the Cavs won't have HCA this year....who imagined that at the beginning of the season?

I told anyone who would listen that the Spurs wouldn't win 50 games this year and I got trashed for it. Especially by @HCP. Well HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW BITCHES?!

Popovich is the most over-rated coach the NBA has ever seen. He rode Timmy's coattails to all the success he's had.

Phil “I do my best work with the best players” Jackson on Line One, sir.

they're missing an MVP candidate for like the whole year.

Next four games, vs Cavs/Pistons/Rockets and @Clippers. 3-1 would be my guess.

Here's a stat for you:

According to 538.com (accessed 3/13/18 AM), we are twice as likely to win the NBA finals as we are to miss the playoffs (2% to 1%).
If we can get to the finals, we're even odds to win. A couple days ago, we had a 2/3 chance of winning if we made it to the finals.

Blazers now with at least a 3 game lead in the loss column over everyone behind them. Need to close this home stretch with a win against the Pistons, then get a tough win on a back-to-back night against the Clippers before facing the Rockets. Win 2 out of the next 3 and they are in good shape.
Jazz have won 8 straight but started from so far back. Jazz are 20-2 in their last 22 games....on fire and even hotter than the streaking Blazers.

Blazers vs Clippers game on the 18th has both teams coming in playing 3 in 4 nights.
Clippers will have a day off, Portland is on b2b.

Yeah that will be a tough game. Just focus on Detroit. If they can hold serve at home they will be in good shape.

Blazers need every win they can get with 7 of the last 10 on the road. Rockets and Celtics at home, then a brutal stretch.

ROCKETS
CELTICS
@ Thunder
@ Pelicans
@ Grizzlies
CLIPPERS
GRIZZLIES
@ Mavs
@rockets
@ Spurs
@ Nuggets
JAZZ

In those last 12 games, it's pretty easy to imagine 5 losses. That is why these next two games are so important.
