I know that my girlfriend and I donate hundreds of dollars worth of clothing to Goodwill each year and I don't know any of the people that benefit from it.

I know 2 of them.

"Donating" your old worn clothes you would otherwise throw away, just so you can deduct them from your tax debt, is nice in a recycling sense, and I do the same. I'm all for recycling.

But ultimately, it is a cash refund to you at no cost to you.

I could give money to relatives all over the place but most of them would be insulted by it as they were brought up to be responsible citizens.

George Obama is doing quite well in his home country by their standards, and has no complaints.

how can it be possible to make 250k annually and only have a net worth of 100-150k. Biden is 65, maybe he gives all his money away. Or maybe he gambles it all?
