The Beverly Hills Hotel has been a haven for Hollywood's elite since 1912 -- two years before the City of Beverly Hills was even created.
But now some stars are rushing for the exits.

On Monday, a number of celebrities took part in a demonstration across from the famed Sunset Boulevard lodge, protesting not the hotel but its ownership -- an investment group controlled by the Sultan of Brunei.

In late April, the small Muslim nation on the northern coast of the island of Borneo implemented Sharia law, marked by strong punishments for those found guilty of homosexuality or adultery -- including stoning the convicted to death. The law was praised by the sultan, who isn't just the country's ruler but also a major political and cultural figure.

Having a dinner meeting at the Beverly Hills Hotel in two weeks. Discussed canceling it but money has been paid, hope our corporate sponsors don't back out though. Not sure about future events though. I doubt he sells or changes his mind so this could go on for a while.
 
Meh, if Al Gore will take Qatar's money, then the beautiful people of LA will keep staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
 
You are right. Islam is a beautiful religion of tolerance. We should celebrate them (but let's ignore their rampant anti-homosexual agenda).

nice that you would use a response to earlier attacks, as your example..once again, the majority of all conflicts in the entire world, are being fostered by Muslims..

take a look at what was referenced in the OP..see the changes intended to be enforced in one, two and three year intervals.. death penalty for blaspheme? yeah man, sounds reasonable..

Real Christians don't hate homosexuals. They believe homosexual behavior is a sin.

Prosecutors had demanded Badawi be tried for apostasy, a charge which carries the death penalty, but this was dismissed by the judge.

Badawi was originally sentenced to seven years in prison and 600 lashes in July last year, but an appeals court overturned the sentence and ordered a retrial - which then earned him a more severe sentence.

You are right sir. I don't think he made a direct reference. The old testament does, "abomination" comes to mind, a natural reaction. However, Jesus would have us leave the punishment of sin to
to Lord, he will judge. At least that is the way I read it.

The only time I was ever in Brunei was about 56 years ago. The purpose was to evacuate some "civilians" from the place because of some raucous. Perhaps they have made some progress since then,
now I see they are only abusing homosexuals, back in those days just being an Infidel was enough.
 
Five books of the old testament, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, are of the Jewish Torah. I am not sure of the rest.

Why do you call it bullshit? Abomination seems like a descriptive word that properly characterizes the natural reaction many men have to hearing of homosexual activity.

Leviticus 11:10 “And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you.”
 
im sure we all know people who see seafood and are seriously disgusted by it, ergo, seafood is just as bad as homosexuality
