Judge me as you wish my man. I sort of read it as Leviticus advising that some of that sea food is not so good for a man. Oysters after a Red tide will kill your ass. Clams will bring you the gout. It isn't difficult at all to view clams as an abominations when you have had the gout.

Now I think Leviticus might have served his function a little better if he had reserve the word abomination for the homosexual acts, it does bring on revulsion to many men when forced to listen to the details. Seafood not so much until you experience the pain
