Florida is fucked right now. There's no chance that "the bubble" is going to be 100% effective, and once one person gets it and exposes others it's over. I hope nobody's getting excited about the rest of the season because it's only a matter of time until they cancel it altogether.

I think you're pretty obviously right. And I think that Adam Silver probably already knows this.
Seriously, Florida does not deserve the NBA - they blew it.

Treatment is a factor too, if its effective enough.

Except we just found a treatment that cuts the death rate by a third in severe patients. The timeline for potentially finding effective treatment is far quicker. We've seen that.

unfortunately that will have little impact on how quickly the available spaces to treat those severe patients gets allocated as more severe cases arise. available hospital facilities are already straining with the surge. we will see 2 weeks from now just how bad this spike will be.
