I think it all depends on how this summer goes, but clearly Florida is going to be out of control a month from now. I think players with money who cna sit out a year will take that over testing positive. and frankly, the players make way too much. Its time to brings sports salaries back down to earth a bit and reprioritize our spending as a society.

Do you think, as a player, they would rather have a zero salary over a 50% decrease on their current salary?

Dude. I live in NYC, the Corona Capital of the World (10 times more deaths than Florida). There was always enough hospital space for everybody. They built extra hospitals and brought the Navy too but didn't need any of it. Florida hasn't surpassed New York.

They won't take the decrease dude. They're only getting what 49% now? They won't go lower than that. With the league making less money, they will want a greater percentage, not less. And why should they take a decrease. They will argue that the owners should take less. They're the billionaires. Why do you insist the players take less?

You think the players make way too much? So are you saying that the billionaires that own the teams should keep most of the money and pay their field hands less? When the NBA makes any amount of money, someone gets it. It sounds like you care more about the billionaire owners.
 
I keep thinking about how different the players/teams will be in Orlando. One thing I just thought of was lack of stage fright. I wonder if there are players who just play better in practice but are just too nervous to play as well when surrounded by 20,000 fans/hecklers. I wonder if there are players who will play substantially better in what will feel more like a summer pick up game. Something to look out for. Their playing environment is going to be drastically different and it's definitely going to change how the guys play.
