So happy to see PJ Dozier getting this opportunity.

Was very high on him in 2017 and still think he can stick as a rotation level guard.

You guys think Gallo will accept a multi year MLE offer? He'd make our team unguardable.

Utah’s getting destroyed by OKC.
Their depth is so shaky and Mitchell isn't reliable enough as a #1 guy.

Feel like Conley has had a tough time adjusting to Gobert vs Gasol too. He and Marc's two man game was really beneficial for him.

I think we were having a discussion about Thybulle vs. Anf the other day. Watching Utah vs OKC. To me, this guy Dort is having a huge impact on the game by simply shutting down Donovan Mitchell. Doesn't make much difference if he doesn't score.

Where would Gallo play? I don't think he can play SF anymore so I just don't know where he'd get the playing time. I guess behind Zach but is that really worth the full MLE? I guess if we're just letting Melo walk, bringing back everyone else and drafting a backup PG, it wouldn't be a bad option and would make our bench scoring a lot more potent but I don't know for sure if we can start Gallo anywhere for this team. That's all if we think all of his injury issues are behind him.

Looks like the Gentry had to get Zion off the court. Minutes restriction but honestly he wasn’t playing well.

That’s what I saw as well.

How bugged is Adam Silver right now?
Not as bugged as we will be if the Pels beat all of the sub .500 teams on their schedule and pass us up for a chance at the playoffs... for the record I don't think that's going to happen but they haven't entered into the cupcake portion of that schedule yet.

the way they look right now, they aren't beating many teams.

Pelicans don’t have a cupcake portion of their schedule. It’s not like they’re playing the Hawks or Cavs. Pelicans are playing teams with similar or better records than them.

Agreed, like I have said in previous posts, none of the teams competing with us for the 8th seed have made the improvements that we have made, they are all for the most part the same as they were before the stoppage. So to think any of them will do better than .500 isn't very logical because the level of competition has gone up and those teams weren't even .500 coming into the restart. However, compared to everyone else in this restart the Pels next 5 games do constitute a cupcake schedule, all of them being against teams under .500.

I mean seriously, it's annoying that players have to defend themselves if they choose not to kneel. It's his right to stand just like it's the other players' right to kneel.

I agree completely that anyone should be able to observe that unnecessary ritual in whatever way they want but Meyers didn't need to expound on the situation as much as he did but again that's his right to talk about whatever he wants to talk about.

I gotta admit that I like watching Nate McMillan's Pacers. They actually do what he talked about wanting the Blazers to do. Push the ball every possession and if they don't get a layup or open shot off that; everyone starts moving, lots of passing until they usually get a good shot (although they missed a lot of fairly open shots). And, everyone on the team plays balls out every minute.

And they stuck to that formula right to the end. Up by 5 with about a minute left, they took an open shot with about 18 sec left on the shot clock, cuz it was wide open. No running the clock down.

Last game Collins got a rebound and went back up with it instead of passing out and running the clock down also. Point is players play coaches can only yell from the sidelines. I’m betting Nate was telling them to run down the clock.

I don't see a thread for it, so I'll announce that today Vonleh played 2 minutes and Plumlee 7, as they powered Denver to an upset of Miami because Meyers Leonard was a DNP-Coach's Decision.

I forgot how close 3-6 is in the west. 1 game difference in the loss column. I am not sure it makes a difference where they all end up. They just don't want to slide to 7th or 8th, and that would be really tough to do. It's not like the HC advantage will be much of a factor.

That is what i was thinking. There will be no home court advantage to speak of. The only advantage in seeding is the opponent.
