The Revenge of Kahn's: Signing Brandon Roy?

I don't care where Roy goes

Just want to watch him play again

I'd like to see him on GS or the Clipps.

since we physically can't sign him, no big deal...though seeing him on the L*kers, H*at or Celtics would have me root against his every successful moment

Roy will play about every 4th game. He will drive them crazy. Adelman will see his game plan destroyed more often than naught. Kahn won't know whether to build around SF or acquire a major new one. This is our revenge, not his. It's why I'm hoping Roy goes to a real rival of ours, to help us in the standings.

Don't want him on the Clippers...... can't stand those guys. Hope he plays well for the Wolves.

Never had the attachment to him that most did. Couldn't care less where he goes

Apropos of nothing, Roy Kahn used to be the lead singer of my favorite cheesedick power metal band, Kamelot.

:ghoti:

You know, I really don't like how we aren't able to sign him again until next year. Doesn't seem fair in the grand scheme of things. Sure we get capspace by amnestying him, but we would not have done that if he were medically ABLE to play. A better option would have been to add a clause for restructuring a player's contract if he is unable to produce at the level he was before, rather than simply wiping his contract clean off the books.

(And tbh, it's not really that clean because PA is still paying him his contract after amnestying him).

Roy cant play for us in any way until after the 14-15 season. unless you know something i dont. wish he could play for us next year

Tough to think he'll be able to hold up for a full season, but maybe he can reinvent himself in a new 20+ minutes per night role?

Best of luck to Brandon.

any team that starts with "lake" or "thund" gets my Roy jerseys set on fire.

McMillan-gate?

There have been theories that Roy shut himself down to get off the team, still get paid and go to another team. Portland's incompetent training and medical staff probably were easy enough to con in this regard.

If you can't tell, the organization is run pretty horrendously.

Are the believers in those credible theories the same people who think the organization is run horrendously?

Do the 5 interested teams realize they'll have to play slowdown and let him dominate the ball?

That's what I keep thinking, but then I think about the possiblity of a different coach being able to use him differently. It was virtually impossible to reinvent Brandon's role for Portland, but with a fresh start, who knows.

If anyone can reinvent his game, it's a superstar set in his ways who's never played any other way, and who was amnestied due to having no knee cartilage left.
