Watch at 1:10. Dunk Contest worthy dunk right there. He looks more like an in-game dunker than he is a creative dunker to me, but that is a 10 dunk.

Fun listening to Lamar Hurd talk about how Sharpe is just destined to put up 50 points. When he made the comment it didn't feel like Mike Rice-level hyperbole.

It was just a simple fact.

So unlike Rice, boring

You know what, I enjoyed Rice, but I am learning to appreciate Hurd more and more. I mentioned that I got to watch portions of the Blazers Warriors game from 2016 yesterday - and Rice was, frankly, quite boring and not that insightful in it.

He's like your old grandfather, who still does the same jokes and tricks to you, that he did when you were 8. Sure, you love him, but he's forgotten that you're not 8 years old anymore. He was knowledgeable ( referring to Rice, not your grandpappy) but went full on shtick mode when he went to TV.

Remember when Snapper Jones was on Blazer broadcasts? He was unbearable. So much awkwardness.

You might not, but most fans watching games aren't as knowledgeable of the game as those of us who post here.

You are giving some of us here too much credit. I love what Hurd brings. He CONFIRMS what im seeing, leaving little doubt to my opinions.
I know the game but am not an x’s and 0’s guy so i love it when things get explained.

How cool would it be if there were an esoteric game call and a simplified game call that viewers could choose from? Like, if you want dissection of how opponents attack the zone, or analytics on the coach's challenge (I'm looking at you, Cory Jez), or someone like @dviss1 explaining the intricacies of the block-charge call and how the ref screwed it up, then you can tune into that broadcast, but if you just want someone going "Look at how high Shaedon Sharpe jumps!!", you have that option as well.

the NBA did that with the "players broadcast" a while back. If anyone watched it, you'd see it was a dumpster fire.

So, was it an even more dumbed-down version populated solely by ex-players? Yeah...that's not what I'm talking about.

The Manningcast for the Blazers. The Clippers just started this

It would be like movie commentary tracks, with actors providing the entertaining version and directors dropping knowledge.

When Sharpe is on a heater, can they please get him more shots? He is 12-16 in his last 2 games.
Meanwhile, last night, Dame/Ant were 16-44...brick building while Sharpe was on fire.

Get the guy who is smoking hot the ball......simple.

Exactly. Was thinking the same thing last night. And he makes it look so easy. Quietest 20 I've ever seen.

And hey, he's up over 10PPG, 55%+ from the field, 51%+ from 3PG.

A couple of his '3's weren't step backs, they were 'jump back' '3's. He made them look effortless and they hit nothing but the bottom.

I really wish they made an effort to get this guy 10 shots a game.

Almost a guaranteed 10 points. If he doesn’t get the minutes, give him the shots.

Sharpe is 9th in minutes per game among rookies.

Sharpe's shooting is insanely good compared to his counterparts. There will likely be some regression, but for a kid who played not 1 minute of college ball, you can see the ability. More opportunities please.

He needs more court time. There’s excuse for not having him in the game down the stretch instead of Simons. His defense even as a rookie is better than both our starting guards.

This thread needs some life !

This dude's hops are really on another level.
Here he just seems to float in the air

Then the sick reverse, he has just one foot in the paint at the start of his jump

This one was crazy to me... I thought Hart threw him a shitty pass that he couldn't get to, and he still makes it look easy

And this last one was just a beautiful play
