Well this is win/win because either he goes to Houston and they gut their squad more or we get Melo. So we don't lose in any situation. Or he just stays in New York, why he would stay though, I don't know. I wouldn't wanna be boo'd for a whole season for wanting to leave.
 
Just on Knicks subreddit, they think this is a leverage move on Melos team to get a deal done to Houston and get them panicking which could be true, who knows

Of course when they don't get those three, it will be because it's a league driven conspiracy to make sure they don't threaten GSW's supremacy. Talk about a fan vase with an inferiority complex. Didn't they hear Adam Silver say the rest of the league needs to catch up to GSW? Yet, they believe the league is the only thing keeping them from getting Carmelo (and Wade and LeBron)...

No it's not. It's not like Houston is holding onto some treasured piece the Knicks desire.

right but it could make them start to offer other players which would gut their roster even more
 
The rockets have no assets to offer. There also never was a time when we even entertained bringing back RA at the expense of Harkless. I'm not a betting man but I'd take the odds that Melo never dons a HOU jersey unless he goes there in FA.
 
The only option that Houston has is to deal Ariza and Gordon to a team that could use them, but that team has to have assets that the Knicks would want.

They are fucking delirious. They think the major sport outlets are pushing an agenda to screw Houston from getting Melo. They think the reason the three way deal was blown up because nobody wanted Meyers. And they think that a core of dame, CJ, Melo and nurk is a fringe playoff team. Houston is by far my least favorite team due to its delusional, entitled fan base. God I wish Bosh would have signed there a few years ago.

Well, that clearly can't be the case. If it's a thousand years from now, what with global warming, we'd all be rooting for a water polo team.
