This is so awesome. It is either going to go so well that it will be a sappy movie starring Morgan Freeman's grandson 20 years from now or go so bad that it will be a horror zombie movie starring Morgan Freeman's grandson's grandpa 20 years from now.

Either way it will probably have a lot of Dame Dolla on the soundtrack.

Tolliver and Mario have done something historic. They have actually made me change my mind about signing Melo!

I don't expect him to last much longer than he did in Houston - but what the heck. He won't make up for the loss of Nurk and Collins and make the team a winner - but he might make things more interesting.

Honestly, no team picking him up last year, all summer, or so far this season has to have humbled him a little bit right? He hasn't forgotten how to score and we literally don't have a single healthy proven post scorer.
His humility wasn't the problem. He had actually accepted a bench role in Houston. James Harden just didn't like him and asked to get him off the team the same way he did CP in the summer.

Neil Olshey might as well ask DWade to join his friend and sign with the Blazers as well

Shit he pretty much called it. Said Portland would be perfect for him.

You know this kind of makes me think? Whiteside, Melo, Hood, CJ, Dame. That team can fucking score the ball. Then you throw in Simons and Baze with Little when needed and they might win enough games to stay in the mix?

I know, I'm saying that it's setting up perfect for a redemption story because of the narrative not the truth.

Damn, all we need is Nurk and we can comeback and start winning again.

The more i think about it the more i want this to work. It has got to improve the team if only just on offense.

How will it possibly get worse? It's a nonguaranteed contract. There's literally 0 downside to this outside of Jody losing more $. BFD
There's no upside. The downside is, we should instead be playing any young guys in the off chance one turns out to be decent. Tolliver , Melo, Spazonja, are known quantities. They suck.

We should just be rolling the dice on any young players. Who knows you could get lucky. There’s no upside on Melo. Unlikely he will Benjamin Buttons.

If I thought Stotts would commit to playing Skal and Little, I would agree with you. The obvious problem is that Stotts tends to use vets as a security blanket, so the real choice is Melo v Tolliver/Mario.

You'd rather play Tolliver and Mario 25-30 mpg like they are now? Cuz you know Little aint getting those minutes.
