years ago game threads on the team's home site were fun.....people laughed, cheered and talked about what they would cook for halftime snacks....I miss that comradery as an online fan...now it seems to have tilted towards the negative from what I see.....it's probably for the best that I shut off the noise during games these days
Back in my day we would cook snacks during halftime
once again
WOT
It's negative when things are going badly and highly positive when things are going well. The emotion is fresh, either direction.
I just feel like it's ore often negative than not tho
Nothing, pure randomnesswtf are you talking about
That's because last year was the most disappointing season in years.I just feel like it's ore often negative than not tho

Ask your doctor if Viagra is right for you.just fuck him, he's young I'm old and I'm fucked out
Every team deals with injuries. It's part of the game. It's weak using it as an excuse for the subpar season we had.Only if your expectations were raised so much by the previous season.
I personally believe the team underachieved due to injuries and Lillard's off-the-court issue he hinted at post break.
Portland played less than 20 games together fully healthy last year.
Turner was ass to start the season, started to find his groove and got injured.
Aminu was injured basically the whole season.
Ezeli the 7.5million dollar lawn ornament.
Nards again was hurt by the break.
Crabbe had an injury.
Harkless missed time.
The trainers better earn their money this year with some preventative care.
our success the previous season was totally due to our lack of injuries.....it's not so much an excuse as a reality....when Chris Paul and Griffin were injured we beat the Clips in the playoffs.....they sure used the excuses thenEvery team deals with injuries. ...and the blazers didn't use it as an excuse. However, pretending that injuries don't affect the outcome of a game or of a season is a bit disingenuous - Vegas oddsmakers care about injuries... A LOT.Every team deals with injuries. It's part of the game. It's weak using it as an excuse for the subpar season we had.

The playoffs are a different animal. Injuries can completely derail a team in the playoffs.our success the previous season was totally due to our lack of injuries.....it's not so much an excuse as a reality....when Chris Paul and Griffin were injured we beat the Clips in the playoffs.....they sure used the excuses then

I'd still rather have Jerry Stackhouse. If we get Ariza, I will remind old-timers of when I argued that he was better than Travis Outlaw. And then I might bring up the huge argument I got into when I said I'd prefer Kyle Lowery to Outlaw.
Those were the good ol' days. Haha
Other than Ezeli, who we never should have counted on for anything, given his injury history, those were all nagging, minor injuries. Harkless missed 5 games, but only 2 where he did not dress. Crabbe missed 3 games, all after we acquired Nurk. His "absence" had nothing to do with our poor start. His performance did. Meyers missed 8 games - and you say that like it's a bad thing.
Seriously, we sucked because our guys collectively played like shit and underperformed until Nurk arrived in mid-February. The whole point of handing out those ridiculous contracts last summer was too improve our bench and give us "quality depth". Good teams overcome injuries because of their depth. The next man up steps up and does his job. In spite of adding Turner and Ezeli via free agency and retaining Crabbe, Harkless and Leonard, our depth flat out sucked. Of those five, Harkless is the only one that didn't underperform.
It's funny that the negative nancies call me a homer, but I am also perfectly willing to call the guys out when they underperform. I get called a homer by one side and a hater by the other. No excuses. We had the second highest payroll in the league, but were 11 games under .500 when Nurk arrived. Guys simply weren't earning their money. The guys who got the big contracts underperformed and the guys that didn't seemed to be moping that they missed out. Neither is acceptable and it took a 22-year old, out of shape Bosnian to light a fire under them awaken them from their funk.
Maybe its a good thing we haven't been able to sign any free agents this summer. Maybe now guys will all come into camp focused on playing their best and not worrying about who got what. I also like that we added two rookies that seem highly motivated to make their marks. It should push the the players ahead of them and around them to elevate their play. Let's hope so. We've gotten off to horrible starts the last two seasons. That was understandable in 2015-16 do to losing four starters, but last year's slow start was unacceptable and inexcusable.
BNM
Neil will go to lengths to get an extra 1st rounder!Dude floating this rumor still saying it's alive but Portland is holding out on receiving additional compensation for taking on Andersons contract.
Sometimes it's better to just roll with your mistakes than try to undo them.
