I think it is more than homelessness, but clearly it's all connected: poor leadership, businesses pulling out all over the place, trash, traffic, fucked up downtown, late night is now 9pm, fucking graffiti, shitty cops, drugs drugs drugs, stupid developments, high property taxes, etc etc...and yet houses/property still cost a fuck-ton here. I've loved this city until recently, so I get the good stuff too. The scales are just majorly tipping.

Maybe we are primed to be taken advantage of by billionaires. It does kinda have that post-war, apocalyptic feel these days...haha.

Those billionaires love to buy low...what's tipping in Oregon's favor right now is water...that's the new gold.
 
As a Blazer Melo earned my respect far beyond the game of basketball....his foundation does really great work in the african american community. He walks the walk. I recommend following his youtube channel if you don't. He does great interviews of great people. Respect!
 
Blessings Carmelo , and Thank You for your time as a Blazer. He had his detractors, but i really enjoyed his time on the team. He was an awesome teammate, and sure helped with some clutch shooting. I was entertained .
 
Melo never won a ring but he was definitely one of the GOATS of our generation. Dude was flat out silky during long periods of his career. Pure scorer, wish we had him in his prime. Some people are probably going to say him and Dame would never win together because of volume. But I think if you had a prime Melo and prime Dame it’s easily the worst 2 man scoring duo to face in the league right now.
 
I’m legitimately thankful to have had Melo play here.

I was heavily onboard the Melo to PDX bandwagon back when Houston was putting his picture in their hallway with a trophy in his hands. So seeing it happen here eventually was a delight.
