So I rarely get involved in these WHAT IF or possible trade threads...... I have a question, did at any point somebody actually say Ryan Anderson is on his way to PDX? Or is everybody just speculating this? And somebody above said because two people from NYC tweeted about this, it's happening. What if the Biggamedame freak on here tweeted something out and somebody in LA ran with it! I love it! Some of these tweets are showing blazersedge as a "source" Give me a fucking break! Those asshats know nothing. Might as well site some local radio guy as a source.

I know a guy named Ryan and a guy named Anderson and they both live in Portland. I'm not sure how much more proof you need.

I thought Aminu was expiring but evidently he's got two years left. He's still relatively young. He's cheap. Why wouldn't they want him? I don't really want to trade him. I see the value in his defense.

Yeah, I also thought he was expiring. He's almost 27. That's not young to a rebuilding team. He's almost 3 years older than Harkless, which is why I'm sure the Knicks covert Harkless more than Aminu.

I said it previously, that I consider Aminu pretty much equal to Harkless. So, I'd be fine with trading Harkless and moving Aminu back to the 3 - as long as we get something of value in return.

BNM

I wonder if Neil not wanting to include Harkless is holding up this trade from happening.

Portland doesn't want to give up Harkless but may have to in order to move another bad contract. The problem is, they may end up taking on a bad contract back (Anderson....who no one wants). The next issue is that while no one wants Anderson, neither does anyone want Leonard who Portland is wanting to move if they are taking on Anderson.

I can defend the Crabbe signing. I can defend the Harkless signing. I can defend the Turner signing. I can even defend the Ezeli signing.

I can't defend the Meyers signing. Nobody was even remotely interested in him, by any accounts. I have no idea why they gave him that contract.

Why would the Knicks want Aminu and Davis? Not exactly the type of pieces a rebuilding team covets. Of course, they are both expiring contract. So, I suppose that would allow the Knicks to overpay for another mediocre free agent next summer.

Or, we could save them the trouble and just give them another one of ours!

BNM

RA for me has become a deal breaker. If we trade our starting SF for him after:

Trading a starting SF for a project PF
Drafting 2 PFs
Giving Butters that horrible contract...

I will be firmly OFF the NO bandwagon...

No and if we trade for him and his bloated contract I'll be pissed. Even if we trade Crabbe.

Just cause you shit on everyone doesn't mean you're right and they're wrong. These guys are plugged into the organization and that jsports guy knows Courtney Lee personally, so it seems. The Trey guy said that New York and Houston were working on this trade even last month.

This.
Wait what??? Revisionist history much??

We were WELL aware of the contract extension that was offered and well aware that Butters turned it down to "bet on himself "....

We watched him lose that bet.

The market spoke and there were no reported offers for Butters services.

We then were ASTOUNDED when Neil signed him to the SAME FUCKING DEAL...

Am I missing something? :dunno:

Damn man. I was on the sick of Batum's shit bandwagon. But damn. That trade looks awful now. Henderson and Vonleh for Batum. Yikes.

So it's time for Neil to bite his own bullet?

Batum is on a 5 year/120 million contract.

Not something I'd want on my books. But I guess I'd rather be paying Batum 24 million than Turner 17 + Meyers 10, so it could have at least saved us from some of the blunders we made last year.

Almost had Parsons on a similar deal too....

It's not been a good last few years.

Henderson was servicable once he got healthy and the jury is still out on Vonleh IMO. Im still thinking he makes a big jump this year and if so, then the trade was good in my opinion.

I don't miss batum at all for one reason.
Guy never finished strong at the rim, always was a 1 hand dunk attempt that he'd get blocked. OR a finesse layup that he'd miss.
Aminu might shoot like he's throwing rocks from a mideval catapult & he can't dribble in traffic. But there is one thing Aminu knows how to do when he has the chance.

Henderson walked and we didn't retain any value for him so who cares how he did for a year.

Vonleh could prove me wrong, i just don't see it.

Aminu also has zero handles. Dude looks like he handles like a semi-truck. And i say that while being an aminu fan. Moreso than others here anyways.

Nic was going to walk, too. Someone was going to throw ridiculous money at him and we weren't going to match.

He has four years and $100 million left on his current deal. In the grand scheme of things, would you rather be paying Batum $25 million a year, or be able to offer Nurk an extension?

I thought he played well in the played will in the playoffs and played well after the Nurk acquisition.
