I seriously doubt Carmelo will waive his ntc to come here. I think he would to the Cleveland Cavs. The player some of you are clamoring for, Ryan Anderson. Why not target the upgraded version in Kevin Love in a three way deal?

I'm ok with a move for Carmelo. As Blazer Roy stated above, it makes things interesting. With enough injuries to one or two teams. Who knows what could happen. He makes the Blazers better from a talent standpoint. I think they need to focus and fine tune what they do on the court in Stotts system if they have any desire to go far. Warriors have talent. But they have perfected what they do. They are a machine.

Any success with Melo starts with him playing like he does for team USA....you get that we're a much improved starting core...need to pair him with Aminu or Turner so there's a defender on the floor when he's playing

I don't care one way or another for Melo, and have always felt he was overrated.

That being said, I wouldn't mind the star power he brings. It'd put Portland in a new light and perhaps eventually other names might not balk at the thought of Portland.

Considering how close a 3-or-4 team deal supposedly was and how NY wants Harkless, you'd think it'd be done or at least there's be more momentum in the media if he was willing to come here.

I want Nurk to be an all star, but so far he's had 20 games under his belt as a Blazer. He hasn't earned the right to be concerned about his role and what potentially adding a superstar would do to it.

I know him, I watched him while in Europe, and I watched like 90% games while he was in DEN, so I know what he can do right now, and what he can add to his game... I know he has high upside on offense and I dont want him to get diminished in that regard

hes already like TOP 10 C in the league, and I say he can become TOP 5 C in the future, but he wont if you dont bring the best out of his offensive game... hes by no means finished product, thats what people need to now, and if he was in POR those three years, insted of DEN, well, hed be even better player know
