I'm glad to hear we are done "facilitating."
Why should we help Houston?

Well, we presently have a thread in OT with over 5700 posts, so this one has quite a way to go before it matches that. What's the record for # of pages for a thread?
Ya'll should move over from clutchfans to here.
They let you say:

If there is something significant that happens it could double the post count. Because there is like 144 pages for almost nothing so far and 15 on an actual news from Woj (by my count of 159 pages).
Only two.
Yes?Haven't been on here in awhile. Did I miss nothing?
Woj is now on Dan Le Batard show.
- Knicks would like to talk to Carmelo Anthony this week.
- His preference is clearly Houston now.
- Going to be hard to the Knicks to resell New York to Carmelo.
- Cleveland is agressive but lacks the assets to make a deal. Similar to Houston they don't have young players or picks to make a deal.
- Cleveland's offer for Paul George included Kevin Love to Denver.
Not a single mention of Portland during this short time with Woj.
Was just about to post the same. Rather casual, calm discussion about Melo like there's no hurry for a deal at all.
Yeah, I don't see why there would be any urgency. Anthony's going to spend his off-season in New York regardless, I'm sure.
I don't think it's impossible that New York just holds onto Anthony if he insists that Houston is the only place he'll be traded. He'll still be a ticket draw and he expires in two years (or one, if he opts out). Better than taking on Rockets garbage.

Knicks would be dumb to not try and get something in return for Melo...they've blown it up already and need young talent moving forwardSeems like the best move for everyone is just to let him opt out next year and go where he wants. NY saves cap space and Houston or Cleveland can just work to sign him.
which is why the Knicks would like to do the Portland trade, but Melo is saying no.Holding onto a disgruntled veteran when you're rebuilding isn't very smart, especially when you have an opportunity to add a young player or two and not lose him for nothing.

Melo is saying Rocket deal, but the Knicks are saying no - you don't rebuild with Ryan Anderson and his contract.
