In the last month?

Well for a couple of things - the news that POR is actually interested in Melo and not just being a facilitator to get him to HOU and the news that both Dame and C.J. want him and are actively recruiting him.

If Olshey, Lillard and McCollum all want him that shows they are convinced that he will be a good fit and a positive contributor to the team, that they are willing to do what it takes to get him and what it takes to make him feel comfortable and integrate him into the team.

I think the confirmation that all three of those guys want him is enough new information to influence the opinions of others.

It's hilarious that they think the Knicks are using POR to get them to up their offer for Carmelo? Up what offer, with what? No one want's your tired, your old, your injured, you 1-dimensional, your grotesquely overpaid. No one wants your Ryan Anderson.

The Knicks have made it clear they want Mo Harkless and there is nothing HOU can offer that comes close to a 23-year old starting SF locked up for three more years on a below market contract.

Getting Melo might not make us a contender, but it would make everything so much more fun. That's the next best thing.

They really don't seem to understand that they don't have anything to offer NY, and that it's not up to Melo.
