I think as we get closer to training camp, and a deal with Houston doesn't get done, our chances of getting Melo increase.

I think that's overly optimistic. I don't think Melo is at all in "must get traded no matter what" mode. If he was, then yeah, he might eventually feel pressured to include more teams (maybe Portland) if the Knicks made it clear that no Houston trade was happening.

But, from what I've read and heard, Melo likes the city of New York a lot. I think he'll just play out his remaining one or two years if he doesn't get what he really wants, which is to play with Paul (or James, but likely not in Cleveland now).

Did you not read the Jesus papers!?!

What if Jesus is using Woj as a conduit? Didja think of THAT? Checkmate!

Seems as or more likely to be the other way around. If you think of the sermon on the mount as the original Woj bomb, it actually fits the lore relatively well.

They hired Phil Jackson and tried to make me play in a triangle offense which requires me to pass the ball.

Not cool.

And there are some on here who wanted to kill this thread, if that had happened we wouldn't have freaken Carmello Anthony, the actual Carmello Anthony as a forum member.

How awesome is this?

I think you are the only person to understand.

I mean, I still haven't lost the game. Even being aware of it, I'm able to put it in another partition of my mind and never think of it. Even as I type this.

But you. You just lost the game.

Oh big time. That's why I posted it in the first place. I hadn't lost the game in about 5 years, forgetting that the game even exists. It just popped into my head and figured I'd take someone else out with me.

You say that, but you love the drama. It's mother's milk for you!

And no, I won't ignore you either.

New York Knicks: Watch and enjoy the Hoodie Melo mixtape

The NBA may be on its offseason, but Carmelo Anthony has found multiple ways to remain in national headlines. The New York Knicks small forward first accomplished that by requesting a trade to the Houston Rockets.

Although that would normally be the primary focus of fans around the NBA, Anthony’s exploits on the court have become the new narrative.

For those unfamiliar, Anthony’s NBA achievements are complemented by a different type of success. Come the offseason, a legend is born and a story is crafted that will live on for the millennia to come—the legend of Hoodie Melo.

Thanks to Tommy Beer of Basketball Insiders, you can watch an invigorating and rekindling Hoodie Melo mixtape.

If nothing else, this is a healthy reminder of just how remarkable Anthony’s skill set is from a pure scoring perspective.

When the hoodie comes on, Anthony seems to turn into a more aggressive player. The killer instinct is found as the 10-time All-Star obliterates the defenders who have the unfortunate task of attempting to cover him in isolation.

Whether it’s a long jump shot, a drive to the basket, a post up, or a crafty dribble,

Whether it’s a long jump shot, a drive to the basket, a post up, or a crafty dribble, Anthony finds ways to remind fans of why he’s as respected as he is.

No matter how Knicks fans may feel about Anthony at this current juncture, talent has never been an issue for the six-time All-NBA honoree.

Anthony’s scoring ability is nothing short of legendary. He won the 2013 scoring title, ranks No. 25 on the all-time scoring list, and has never once averaged less than 20.8 points per game—an impressive feat for a 14-year veteran.

The question is: Will Hoodie Melo be making a triumphant return to The Mecca during the 2017-18 NBA regular season? Or will he be traded before October?

Rather than enjoying the rejuvenated presence of the legendary scoring threat, New York Knicks fans may be left to reminisce in 2017-18.
