Remember when tan suit and Dijon mustard on a burger were scandals? Remember when screwing an intern was impeachable offense because abuse of power?

Trump administration poised to accept 'palace in the sky' as a gift for Trump from Qatar: Sources
The luxury jumbo jet is to be used as Air Force One, sources told ABC News.

In what may be the most valuable gift ever extended to the United States from a foreign government, the Trump administration is preparing to accept a super luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from the royal family of Qatar -- a gift that is to be available for use by President Donald Trump as the new Air Force One until shortly before he leaves office, at which time ownership of the plane will be transferred to the Trump presidential library foundation, sources familiar with the proposed arrangement told ABC News.
The gift is expected to be announced next week, when Trump visits Qatar on the first foreign trip of his second term, according to sources familiar with the plans.

Trump toured the plane, which is so opulently configured it is known as "a flying palace," while it was parked at the West Palm Beach International Airport in February.

The highly unusual -- unprecedented -- arrangement is sure to raise questions about whether it is legal for the Trump administration, and ultimately, the Trump presidential library foundation, to accept such a valuable gift from a foreign power.

Anticipating those questions, sources told ABC News that lawyers for the White House counsel's office and the Department of Justice drafted an analysis for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth concluding that is legal for the Department of Defense to accept the aircraft as a gift and later turn it over to the Trump library, and that it does not violate laws against bribery or the Constitution's prohibition (the emoluments clause) of any U.S. government official accepting gifts "from any King, Prince or foreign State."

Sources told ABC News that Attorney General Pam Bondi and Trump's top White House lawyer David Warrington concluded it would be "legally permissible" for the donation of the aircraft to be conditioned on transferring its ownership to Trump's presidential library before the end of his term, according to sources familiar with their determination.

The sources said Bondi provided a legal memorandum addressed to the White House counsel's office last week after Warrington asked her for advice on the legality of the Pentagon accepting such a donation.

The White House and DOJ didn't immediately respond to request for comment. A spokesperson for the Qatari embassy did not respond to ABC's inquiries.

Bernie is, I am sure, well aware Congress will do nothing.

For us fewer gifts for children. For him gold plated plane. Let them aircraft!

Trump Slows Down Internet in Rural America, Calls It a ‘Woke’ and ‘Illegal’

In a move that has stunned broadband advocates and local leaders across the country, President Donald Trump has officially dismantled the Digital Equity Act, a cornerstone of the Biden administration’s plan to expand internet access in underserved communities.

The president made the announcement Thursday on his social media platform, Truth Social, declaring the program unconstitutional and characterizing it as a “racist handout.” His message read in part, “No more woke handouts based on race! The Digital Equity Program is a RACIST and ILLEGAL $2.5 BILLION DOLLAR giveaway. I am ending this IMMEDIATELY and saving taxpayers BILLIONS OF DOLLARS!”

Despite Trump’s claim, the law did not distribute funds based on race. In fact, the legislation prohibited discrimination entirely, stating that eligibility for internet access improvements could not be denied on the basis of race, gender, national origin, religion, disability, or sexual orientation. These protections mirrored long-standing language from the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The Digital Equity Act was created to address one of the nation’s most persistent challenges — the digital divide. Millions of Americans in rural and low-income areas, including those who voted overwhelmingly for Trump, lack access to reliable, high-speed internet. This barrier affects everything from children’s education to employment opportunities and access to healthcare.

What makes the president’s decision especially controversial is that the program had already started rolling out in deep-red states. Alabama, Indiana, Kansas, Arkansas, and Iowa had all received federal grants under the initiative to create and implement digital access plans. In many of these areas, local leaders praised the funding as a long-overdue lifeline.

His way of keeping them stupid and uneducated. Take away the one resource that could make them fact check.

Loomer doesn't care about the corruption, just that it's bad people doing the bribing.

Honest people don't bribe. Or take bribes.

Funny....Democrats dont care about corruption, their just mad about people finding it.

Srill making excuses for Trump. Incredible. Actually credible.

How does one tell a company what price they can sell something? Seems counterintuitive. I’d guess they shut down plants or not sell to us. Unless tax payers are going to split the difference? We shall see.

Trump overturned actual prescription drug reduction. The only way feds can lower prescription costs is to negotiate federal programs like Medicare, Medicaid, VA. Not private insurance. So this is just waving a piece of paper. It will do nothing. It's another shiny object to distract from what they are actually doing. Like drastic cuts to Medicaid and eliminating fully covered preventive care including vaccines.

Pam Bondi said it is OK for Trump to take this bribe from Qatar. Her last gig prior to being named Attorney General was lobbyist for Qatar.

BTW, Pam Bondi was paid a cool $115,000 a week to lobby for Qatar. Not bad work if you can get it.
