Remember Kash Patel said openly, even wrote a book on the subject, his aim as FBI director was retribution against Trump's enemies. Republicans still confirmed him.

I think I check EVERY box. Atheist. Feminist. Lesbian. Socialist. Been protesting since before I hit my teens.
It doesn't have to hold up in court. They can still harass people and organizations, make them use resources defending themselves even if charges thrown out. It's for intimidation.
