And this is the type of shit that absolutely appalls me and makes me wild about keeping the fucking MAGA crazies as far away from me as possible. Nothing (NOTHING!!!!!!!!) could be more disrespectful of those who made the actual sacrifice for their country. That they would try to even vaguely attach the idea of moral (and physical) courage to a steaming pile of shit Like Donald Trump is proof positive that the America I grew up in is gone and it ain't ever coming back. Too many in this country have no shame. Or pride either. We are so fucking lost.

Trump Gets Surprising News on His Performance From a Shocking Poll

Results from a “shock” poll shared by one of Donald Trump’s surrogates started trending on X Monday, telling 1.4 million people that the Republican presidential nominee was gaining ground on Vice President Kamala Harris in New Mexico.

But none of it appears to be real.

MAGA ally Richard Grennell, who served as the acting director of national intelligence during Trump’s administration, posted the sourceless numbers to his X account, claiming that Harris only had a three-point lead on the former president in the battleground state. But that alleged narrow lead made light of other recent surveys, including one published in the Albuquerque Journal on Monday, which showed Harris with a nine-point lead, three times more than Grennell suggested.

“Trump surrogates are literally fabricating polls at this point to make their supporters think a victory is inevitable,” wrote Democratic strategist and pollster Matt McDermott in response to Grennell’s post. “No poll shows this in New Mexico.”

Doubts were similarly cast over Harris’s odds on the betting platform Polymarket, which saw Trump suddenly surge ahead of the Democratic presidential nominee with 63 percent of the projected vote compared to Harris’s 36 percent.

One bettor appeared to be behind the switch-up. “Fredi9999” holds more than $20 million in pro-Trump bets on the site, and users have suggested that the same person could be behind several accounts with some of the site’s largest bets on the Republican presidential nominee, reported CCN.

Not sure who actually believes Trump would win New Mexico. The alarming indicator i keep seeing is how poorly Kamala is doing in the blue-leaning states. The point spread lead by Democrats in states like New Mexico has gone from high teens in some cases down to single digits from last election to this one. The same poor performances are being seen in nearly every battleground state. Those numbers are horrifying when you are running against a candidate who consistently over-performs on election day, and your party consistently under-performs.

Vance accused Walz of "stolen valor" because Walz was not actually in combat...

General John Kelly provides detailed information that Trump praised Hitler, wants military to be personally loyal to him like Hitler's officers were (until they tried to kill him). And more details about contempt for those who serve. Kelly is a conservative who thought it his duty to inform the American people.

Totally absent from front page of New York Times, Washington Post, major newspapers in swing states, Politico or Axios.

Complete Trump apologists.

Maybe they think if they do everything they can to elect him he won't go after them. Didn't work in Germany.

Fox and other right wing media making excuses, including Trump didn't realize Hitler was bad.

Compare to breathless coverage of Hillary Clinton's emails and Biden 's age.

I have to make one correction with this.

Fox and other right-wing outlets aren't saying Trump didn't realize Hitler was bad.

They're saying Hitler wasn't that bad.

Fox commentator said Trump didn't realize Hitler is a "third rail", and how stupid does a person have to be to not know that, but added that he had a point, people should obey Trump.

I remember as a kid watching cartoons on Saturday morning and then the docuseries, World At War, would air. Jarring as fuck. That open intro with the fire and people intense.

I think the implication is the way Walz speaks of his time serving. He uses alot of ambiguous verbiage that implies he might have been in some hot zones. I’ve seen it in a few interviews, it’s sort of obvious what kind of picture he’s trying to paint.

What a segway from Saturday morning cartoons. Good old days.

Walz is certainly guilty of exaggerating, if for no other reason than to perhaps make a larger point. And "stolen valor" is a rather ambiguous term. But if there is one thing J.D. Vance is willfully (perhaps even gleefully) guilty of is what I would called "voluntarily surrendered honor". Honorable veterans DO NOT disparage other veterans for any other reason than actual cowardice in the face of battle. Honorable veterans thank their fellow veterans with "thank you for your service", or at least otherwise acknowledge their service. Everyone's military service is its own experience. Tim Walz gave 24 years of honorable service to this country. J.D. Vance served 4 years......and then voluntarily surrendered his honor. There is no place in our government for morally empty people like that.

Convinces me.

Of course, that is essentially what some have accused Walz of. Well, one guy specifically, but he's certainly put out a lot of info supporting that accusation.
