Turns out it is all a lot worse. Seriously, read some articles. Dude called himself a black Nazi, downplayed the holocaust, called MLK a maggot, wrote antisemitic garbage, wished they would bring slavery back, stated that he would like to own slaves himself, and etc.

This is who MAGA is. They just don't usually say it out loud. They survive on plausible deniability.

Today is the last day that North Carolina allows a party to switch it's candidates running for office in this election. So if I understand things correctly, Robinson has about a half hour to resign and let the GOP run someone else at the last minute.

Our politics have become much more tribal. By that I mean that voters these days don't split their ballot between parties or most who show up to vote go all Ds or all Rs. It sure looks like the GOP won't have a strong candidate for Governor to help turn out the vote. If North Carolina & it's 16 Electoral College votes go blue, it's all over for Old Don.

NC is the state where the state supreme court just forced them to reprint the ballots after the legal deadline had passed, taking RFK off in order to help Trump. So I wouldn't say the deadline here means much at all.

Okay, but if their Supremes did this it would reek of desperation which in all probability hurts them with the swing voters maybe beyond this election. It's also the exact opposite of the hyper masculinity the R's voting base craves as they pridefully never back down, apologize etc. Whatever last minute candidate they could come up with would be starting from way behind as far as name recognition, having a campaign organization and fighting general momentum with not much time to go. Heck the NC GOP would have to scrap all their yard signs, advertisements and campaign stuff they've paid for and then re-tap donors to come up with a brand new bankroll to create all that stuff again. Or they stay the course with black Nazi... their party their choice
