Cults happen because of desperation. There was some some cult around Obama. Even now. The people have been desperate for a chance since then and haven't gotten it. Neo-liberal and Neo-conservative policies have driven us to this place.

I dunno, the fact that the signs and the cutout are merely temporary rather than part of the paint job makes me concerned this person isn't 100% committed to the cause. Perhaps he needs to be sent to one of the camps to reinforce his devotion.

To be honest, I didnt. 2001 and on is when I could vote and so I did miss that and consequently was ignorant to the goings on since I was a dumb 18-21 before I could vote.

I didn't really see any of that except the last one. Though, we were all against the terrorists after 9/11. Unfortunately, Cheney the real president, decided to fuck over Iraq and steal their oil. Instead of going after Osama he went after Saddam Hussein, who while not a good person, was not involved in that and did not have weapons of mass destruction.
 
Of course we were all against terrorism after 9/11 but the you are either with Bush or with terrorists was thrown at any dissent against Bush policies including repressive measures and invading a country that had nothing to do with attack.

Since there are even fewer mechanisms to get tariff money to the people who need it than there were before Trump took office.

And anything like that would be considered "socialism" by this administration anyway, and strictly avoided.
 
Army Corp of Engineers confirmed they knew the 2.2 billion gallons of water dumped per Trump order would not reach Southern California fires. They were ordered to dump the water and take a photo Trump could use to say he was "releasing" water that state officials didn't. Because of course state officials knew it would not help with fires and would leave farmers without water this summer.
