I don't know that there are excerpts that are particularly good, to me the takeaway was that Republicans used all of their time to try to pursue this phony story that their phones had been tapped, while the Democrats used their time to say "tell us, Jack, about all the crimes Trump committed and the evidence you had against him'. Which he did, and very clearly.

I'm surprised that the Republicans released the transcript/video.

A right wing Internet troll posted video he claimed showed a fraudulent Somali run daycare center at which there were no children. MAGA in ecstasy saying he deserves Pulitzer prize. He is not a journalist or an investigator. Actual journalists making unannounced visitors found children and normal activities. Troll provides no details about time of day, how he got access, etc.

The racist in chief praised the troll and announced on New Year's Day he is cutting off all federal funds to all daycare in the entire country. Funds can only be restored when they prove to his satisfaction funds are being legitimately used. No criteria given for how to do this.

So daycare all over the country is going to shut down. Happy New Year.

Until the children are old enough for that, women need to quit their jobs and stay home where they belong. Unless they are poor women who need public assistance, Medicaid or Section 8 housing. They nationalized the country's oil. They had effrontery to declare Venezuela and not US oil companies should control it. For a while things were pretty good, more prosperity, social programs. Fall in price of oil, failure to diversify economy, US sanctions and internal corruption sent things downhill.

As the US president is a convicted felon, by Trump logic another country could kidnap him to stand trial.

Trump said he doesn't know what comes next but doesn't want another "bad" government in Venezuela. Granting himself right to decide their leaders.

Even scarier is that they will do this to Cuba for sure, maybe Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil too.
