How can people argue that Nic can't produce when given minutes and touches? He won't do what he did tonight, every night obviously, but when he gets shots and minutes he fills the stat sheet!

If teams don't guard him (which is what happened tonight) he better keep hitting those shots. You have to hit those wide open uncontested shots.

Denver didn't bother to guard him and in turn Nic had a pretty easy night. Almost every shot was uncontested. Not surprising they were slow in defensive rotations considering it was their 3rd game in 3 nights.

This doesn't really change anything for me anyways. We already know Nic can knock down open shots. It's the other parts of his game that will propel him to being more than just a role player in this league.

No, really its okay. Foot, meet, mouth.

LOLLL. Sorry, you have nothing on me.

You on the other hand were caught trying to twist the facts.

Foot --------> Mouth

So what about against Utah when he WAS contested? I saw him still score.

Hey I disagree that he's some superstar in the making; but to discount his performance last night doesn't make sense. I think he has the ability to do that again.

BAM.

Batum with a PER of 19. Shooting 45% from the field.

Blazers 2nd best player, indeed.

We didn't need last nights game to prove this either. The kid has skills, he just needs touches.

Agreed and I even said it up top. We already know he can get hot and knock down uncontested 3pt shots.

Changing arguments now. All he can do is hit uncontested 3's? Earlier it was that he's not consistent. 45% from 3 isn't consistent, you're right....

I didn't change my argument at all. Just because you can't get to me doesn't mean you have to try and lie again.

That said, take out his best 3 games where he was unbelievably on fire from 3 (9-15, 6-7, 4-5) and in the rest of the games he's shooting 32% from 3. Leave the 4/5 in there and he's shooting 37%. A couple games is really inflating his 3pt%. 20/22 games he's shooting 37% from 3.

These are the facts. I understand if you can't handle them.

Why would you take out those 3 games? Do they not count?

Batum needs a different coach and I think he'll take less to move on. His agent said that the Blazers have already had their crack at him and that he'll look at the other 29 teams before they consider the Blazers.

Strange how Rudy gets booed for his agent begging us to trade him to escape McMillan, while Batum doesn't get booed for his agent telling us to go to to hell.

Just think; if Portland was just .500 on the road; we would be 17-7. That would be 2nd in the West. All we had to do is win 3 games on the road. Detroit, Sac Queens and Jazz were all very winnable games. :sigh:
