Right now, the top three are:

GSW
DEN
OKC

With the addition if Kanter, we might have enough inside presence to keep gsw shooting perimeters and dominate the paint. Something they may not have an answer for.

Denver, to me, is not playoff tested aNd not a playoff threat.

The scary team to me is OKC. They have both the inside and outside game. I think they will be the team to beat going into the playoffs.

How would we match up to them with the new additions?

OKC looks fricken scary to me right now. They are my early pick to win it all.
How can we stop them if we meet up in the playoffs?

With this final push to the playoffs, the top 8 are starting to separate aNd the positioning is becoming clearer. However i wouldnt be surprised to see OKC at the top at the end of the season.

OKC is going from the easiest schedule pre-break, to the hardest schedule post break.
We'll see just how good they are between now and the end of the season.

I forgot about them having the toughest end of season schedule.

I agree..OKC is DANGEROUS.

The one team I don't want to face in the playoffs is OKC. Denver is a close second.

I think we could win 2 games out of 6 in a playoff fight with GS thanks to their pathetic bench. But even then I don't see it being more than 2 games.

OKC would sweep us. We have zero answers for George. He's the league MVP, in my opinion.

Denver, I haven't really followed much. Jokic is a force of nature, but how does the rest of the team stack up against ours? Don't know. I think we'd have a good chance of beating them in the paint, but would that be enough?

Not aorries about denver. Every year there is a regular season team that looks great and fails in the playoffs.
Wnter denver.

I actually think we could have an outside chance against gsw.

I think okc sweeps us. And you are right. Pg is the mvp this year.

mods ban this man!!!!

Bah. Sly wouldn't ban me. I keep his dog toys hostage.

"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for red rocket, I can tell you I don't have one. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over many hours of hole digging. Skills that make me a nuisance for gardeners. If you let my toys go now, that will be the end of it. I will not bark outside your window. I will not chase your car."

"But if you don't, I will shit on your doorstep. I WILL find you. And I will hump your leg."

That would explain why I keep paying him, but you are still here

Not to worried about Denver. Golden State isn't as good as they used to be. Still going to be tough to beat, but the paint is starting to fleck. OKC is trouble. You have to basically double team George everytime down. Gonna be tough to beat. If the Blazers keep HCA they won't have to see any of them in the first rnd. If the Blazers stay in 4th and get to the 2nd rnd, they would have to play whoever is 1st (Warriors) If say Denver falls (OKC won't) in the standings and we get to three...we would have to play the 2nd seed in the 2nd rnd...OKC

playoffs...which team runs it's best players into the ground before the first round?....I'd say OKC might be on that list...they've been playing Russ, Paul and Adams big minutes...same with the Rockets...last season we ran out of gas in the first round...this season I think we have the edge because of balance...OKC hasn't seen us with Hood and Kanter yet..if Lebron drags the purple and piss to the 8th seed he'll be on fumes. We no longer have to burn out Dame, Nurk and CJ to win games

Best thing we could do vs. OKC is double PG and let Westbrook shoot from the outside. I think we can beat them if we have home court.

The good thing is we are heavy on athletic long wings in Aminu, Harkless, Hood, Layman and Turner to defend George.

I’ll actually be surprised if we don’t finish 3rd. Obviously I didn’t think that at the beginning of the season but as things stand now I see us passing OKC eventually. For some reason my gut is telling me the 3 vs 6 will be POR/SA.

Mwhich is one of the better matchups for us.

OKC lost to Sac a few nights ago.
They're just as beatable as any team not named GSW.
They're in the middle of the pack just like the other 9 western conference teams.

They were on the second night of a back to back after having played a double OT game vs Utah. PG played 50 minutes the night prior. Sac is good, but that loss was partly due to their schedule.

Given our head to head and the way George is playing, and now Russell rounding into form, I don't see us catching OKC. Even with their remaining SOS, I don't see them dropping much. The team I'm looking at is DEN, and even that seems unlikely because they have crazy depth even if injuries strike. Our best bet is to try to retain HCA against Houston/Utah.
