1990 team went 67-95 with Bucky Dent going 18-31 before being fired & was replaced by Stump Merrill 49-64

It was Chuck Cary not Chuck "Clay" and Kevin Mass had a .902 OPS....but yes, that team sucked! "Bye Bye" Balboni went on to have a good WS with KC.

Good catch on Cary, correction was made. & a real shame about Maas but the pitchers just got wise to him.
 
And to the best of my knowledge, Righetti and Eckersley are the only two pitchers, at least in the modern era(?), to lead their league in saves and had pitched a no-hitter.
Very impressive....and VERY rare.
 
So maybe when the Yankees are going into the last month of the 2015 season & fighting to stay above 500 we could think back to the 1990 season.

Whoops, nope....my 2015 Yanks will be on pace to win "approx 90 games".
