It's such a feel good story until he says he killed an animal and then dissed Mike Rice ('I don't want to be one of those guys right now who is hanging on and living vicariously and going on social media'). I'm happy for him though. He was always nice to me.

I'm sure he'd check the Blazer score here and there but I doubt he'd sit down and watch an entire game. His wife and family come first after missing so much traveling.Anyone else find it weird that a self proclaimed Blazer fan since his days growing up didn't watch a single Blazer game this season?
I understand spending more time with family, but if there really was no bad blood then why didn't he tune in to see how things were going this season?

You're just saying that because as a referee you never miss traveling. That's got to be one of the lamest excuses I've ever heard. He could've caught one of their 82 games...
I guess what I'm imagining is Barrett flipping through the channels and watching a couple minutes of the games here and there. That's got to be one of the lamest excuses I've ever heard. He could've caught one of their 82 games...

The story I'll remember best about him is the night Nate got fired and I watched Barrett's video reaction after the game in his hotel ....I think he was with Rice...he was really shook up...he had to shut off the video and cut it short. I had a different reaction when they fired Nate.
