Sure he needs to, that's probably what he does best, but the team has to find a way to get him better looks. So he needs to collapse the defense, but he can't abandon his best weapon either.

I guess I should rephrase it. I mean, he needs to force sas to respect his drive game, so his outside shot is less contested.

I agree. I'm more discouraged than encouraged by our second half. The Spurs had that huge lead, and all we could do was basically break even while they toyed with us.

I believe the refs will proactively work to get this series notted up at 1 apiece. The Blazers need to take advantage of that and give the Spurs Fans reason to say "These refs suck".

I disagree. Wes and Nic is one of the best 3-4 punches in the league. I can only think of Miami (Bosh-Allen) as maybe being better. Find a third/fourth scoring tandem that is better than ours. Maybe Indiana's Stephenson-West.
 
Can still get a split on the road and wear down the Spurs. Youth is on our side and Parker only had one of those games out of 7 vs Dallas. I think it's just like Wes said..fine tuning your game. Need 25-30 pts from the bench somehow as well.
 
The Spurs were still riding high from kicking the Mavs ass a couple nights before. I've always felt that in the playoffs that the more time you have off between games the more you lose the rhythm you had going. Most people don't agree and think that rest is most important.

I totally agree with this. Glad we didn't get the mavs. That would be embarrassing to lose big to them.

Washington and Miami had long rests and they dominated their Game 1s. I think rest is best. Stay fresh. Chance to recover from nagging injuries. That's why we need to finish off the Spurs in 5 games.

Robin Lopez is getting his ass schooled by Tiago Splitter. Tiago Splitter is offensively schooling Lopez. This guy has been nothing but a hack since we've got him, an incredibly underwhelming off season pick up before a post season that we ACTUALLY needed some additional firepower other than our main dudes. Blazers lose in 5 because of this guy's pure ineptitude.

Lopez is on 4mil, you'd expect him to positively contribute to the team in some sort of substantial fashion.
Splitter was MVP for the Spurs through the first series. He's a soft bitch non-hustler who's out hustling a guy whose career is predicated on hustle. Poor form.

Rolo against Houston - 9.7 points, 2.7 blocks, 8.7 rebounds on 51% shooting against Dwight Howard.

Splitter against Dallas - 10.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 0.1 blocks, 62% shooting against Samuel Dalembert.

Tuesday:

Rolo - 10 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks 40% shooting
Splitter - 5 points, 5 rebounds, 0 blocks 33% shooting

Lopez makes $5,119,761
Splitter makes $10,000,000

I think you're a little salty about how much you're paying this scrub.

Yo you watch the rest of the series and watch Lopez's declining contributions to his team while Splitter's rises, and then at the end look at who helped more. If I am wrong I'll be here to own it.
Lopez cannot be a consistent contributor of any substance in a long playoff run.

Small sample size. Pretty much the whole team sucked in game 1. Lopez will be fine.
