wtf? where was GOD when the third reich was exterminating jews? or how about the armenian genocide? where was he- when tutsi's where getting killed 8, 000 a day for 100 days= 800, 000? where was GOD when the tsunami killed hundreds of thousands? where was GOD in the first 100 years of contact between the native ppl's and the white man- when 95% of our first nation's ppl were exterminated by disease and war?

u seem to believe god was asleep at the wheel during these events and he suddenly awakes after an incestuous, child molester rapes her own child?

I want you to know that I don't believe in God but there is a very simple distinction that you are missing, as usual.

However, I went to church as a child. It was a Nazarene church. I was taught that people who were killed as children or who weren't exposed to the bible or preachers were innocents and would go to heaven automatically.

So, what did the church want to do? Go on missions into the jungle and preach the "word of God" to these isolated tribes that had never been exposed to the bible. According to what my church taught, these people would all go to heaven before they had been preached to. Now that the missionaries had gone there and told them about God and the bible THEY HAVE A GOOD CHANCE OF GOING TO HELL.

I could NEVER figure out why they would want to do that to the poor tribes.

That's why there aren't anymore dinosaurs, god gave them a new home.

The world is full of pain and suffering, no doubt about it. But that's because this is a fallen world, ruled by Satan. All of the suffering inflicted on the innocent--through war, disease, famine, natural disaster, etc.--is part of his plan, not God's. In God's plan, we're going to be leaving this earth someday for a better place, where there will be no more death and dying.

Why hasn't this happened yet? I don't know. I agree that there's been way too much suffering and death, and it's high time we got out of here, but God's timetable is different from mine. I suspect that it all has to play out in its own time, for God's own purposes, before the end comes. Until then, those who believe are promised a place with God in heaven, where the former things are passed away, and all is new again.
