There's only one Aldridge trade I'd get behind

Boozer is a fine player. He's smart and physical. However, his best days are behind him. He's a heck of a story, however. From 2nd round pick to very good NBA PF. He still dicked over Cleveland, however.

All this may be true. His teams in Utah won 50+ a lot. "in the west."

no thanks. now if you were talking about Marc Gasol ... perhaps i'd explore that trade.

I don't know. Gasol is great; but I think is rather go after horford instead. I think horford has more offense than gasol.

But who knows... Gasol is pretty good on the defensive end

I'd get behind this trade so hard that it would make no GM ever want me to get behind it again.

12 points 16 rebounds 6 blocks 5 steals for Drummond today. I'd package Aldridge and Batum.

Hard to argue with that since he's probably my favorite overall C in the league. Still, unless you think flipping Aldridge for Gasol gets us a big step toward immediate contention, I'd get more excited about Drummond. His age and advanced metrics are ridiculous. If we have to go the route of rebuilding in an Aldridge trade, having Lillard and Drummond as our young 1-2 punch would be perfect.

Gasol is of a similar age and talent level to Aldridge. I don't see why a trade would make sense for either team (even less so for Memphis than for us), but if it did, Gasol would simply slide into Aldridge's "malcontent All-Star in their prime" slot.
