Holy hell if this doesnt point out "desperate" i dont know what does. all signs pointing to major collaspe after the last 2 games.
And Dwight adds this before the Johnson signing announced....
The lack of fast-break points is getting embarrassing. And the Blazers have turned into a poor rebounding team all of a sudden, too. A lot of fans are grumbling about "too many jump shots" but the fact is, when your team is full of jump shooters, that's the kind of shots you're going to get here.
The only big man on the roster who plays a post-up game is LaMarcus Aldridge and he does it only infrequently. There are other post players on this team, though -- Andre Miller and Brandon Roy are effective in that area. But you don't see it happen very often.
When you look at those stats, though, it's pretty incredible that the Trail Blazers came as close as they did to winning the game.
Bad defense, poor rebounding, no fast break points and no points in the paint? That's not going to win you many basketball games.
