Im sick and tired of being sick and tired of being tired and sick.
Oh now i need to start using that!yeah...whatever happened to y'all're?
ill drink to that!12 dollar beers.
they need to make it worth 2.5 points. The 3 point shot. For me it is ruining the game, just way overused.
Instant replay and the way it's currently used. It's so fucking stupid having an on-court ref wander over to the sidelines and stare at a monitor awkwardly while the whole arena waits 2-3 minutes. Fans at home can rewatch plays and easily tell if it was a foul within 15 seconds of the play. Why not just have a ref do the same?
Only refs on the court can stop action. Have a ref sit in a room and speak into the earpiece of the ref on the court. "I watched it 3 times, Larry, he flopped. No foul. Move on." You could have instant replay on practically every foul, and just have the guy watching TV override the on-court ref only when he judges it necessary. TV ref gets the final say. There are never stoppages for review. Even if they are lining up for a free throw, the TV ref can interrupt it and just cancel the free throws (before the ball is handed to the shooter) if he deems it the wrong call. You rotate refs so that sometimes they are on court and sometimes on TV, just so they all get a feel for how to manage the game.
If the on-court ref isn't sure of the call, he can always stall for 20-30 seconds while the TV ref makes up his mind. But TV ref has an upper limit of 30 seconds--if he doesn't know by then you just play on.
An added benefit is that it'd remove a ton of the home court bias and the whining at refs. Somebody isolated from the noise of the crowd and the whining of superstars can just go ahead and make the right call without worrying about the pressure.
Perfect timing for this thread. I'm sick of Greg Oden still looking like he could play.

Yeah. He looks out of shape. But he ran up and down the court. If his knees were as bad as mine he wouldn't make the whole length onceWhat???? Did you watch??? He had 11 and 5 against no namers, and got CUT from Big 3.
He should be dominating 3 on 3.

To put it another way, he looked about as quick as Swanigan. And the announcers were like "so nice to see him smile and be on the court"What???? Did you watch??? He had 11 and 5 against no namers, and got CUT from Big 3.

I know he's done. I'm tired of seeing him play basketball. He's 30. We're seeing prime Greg Oden right now. He's done.
I guess I’m an old sap because I was just happy to see him make it back and forth, look like was having fun. He’s not anywhere close to an NBA player at this point or much of a player at all. He's done.
It’s not like he was Raymond Felton who was just fat and out of shape and collected the paychecks. He didn’t want his knees to give out and be a bust, I always at least somewhat felt bad for him and most other guys whose body can’t withstand the NBA / NFL or whatever league. So I am kind of happy to see him out there having fun.To put it another way, he looked about as quick as Swanigan. And the announcers were like "so nice to see him smile and be on the court"
I'm not mad at him. I'm tired of seeing him pop up every few years just to remind me what could have been. It’s not like he was Raymond Felton who was just fat and out of shape and collected the paychecks. Heh, fair enough. I don’t mind it, what sucks worse is seeing what KD does...I'm not mad at him. I'm tired of seeing him pop up every few years just to remind me what could have been.
