Could have been. He told me over 25 years ago. I think "gentlemen's agreement" is the best description.

Please don't move here. You transplants are killing the city. (well its pretty much shit now...) and traffic is fucking horrendous.

Move to Montana, Idaho, Colorado, anywhere but here.

I love Austin. Not sure I'd love the weather. Also not sure I could find a job there. I pretty much have a job in Portland if I move there, I forgot to mention that.

I pretty much have a job as Paul Allen's financial advisor. I just gotta scrape together gas money, and go up there and ask him. Guess I've never mentioned that.... :bgrin: (j/k)

...once you finally move, just be sure to tell everyone you are from Maryland and you will receive a lot less hostility! You've been warned :devilwink:

Truth. We probably wont like you being from maryland either, but if you say youre from cali, youll receive a ton of hate. Most oregonians hate california and all the bullshit they bring.

Lol. Nah, I'd stick with the Native Oregonian slant. If they gave me shit about Rip City, I'd ask how their team is doing. Oh wait, we are their team now....

Don't move to Portland Move to fuckin NJ where you can live the life of luxury We offer high taxes, EPA hazard sites, too many cops, asshole drivers and more immigrants than Trump could endure :) Just jokin. I hope you move to a class place near and/or in the city.

And AIDS in the water.....

We'll never have an NBA all-star game here, so you'd better not come.

Hello. I joined this forum specifically for advice regarding moving to Portland.

I am a soon to be 34 year old single male. I live in Los Angeles currently. Lived here for 16 years and want to switch it up. I visited Portland last June and loved it. Very beautiful city, clean, great food, cool people. Am thinking about making the move.

You visited during some of our best weather. If you want sunshine, don't move here. If you don't mind dreary weather for most of the year, Portland is for you!

I own a house down here, and would probably rent it out and rent an apartment up there. Can you guys recommend some neighborhoods? My rent max would probably be $1,450 a month.

This could be tricky. Housing right now is at a premium. Difficult to find a place to stay. Start talking to a realtor.

I would like an area that has good nightlife and beautiful women haha. Not the most important...basically just a nice, safe area that has restaurants, bars, stores, etc. within walking distance and/or short driving distance.

There are beautiful women in Portland......... and they all have boyfriends/husbands. This is not going to be ideal for you..... although at least up here they're more impressed if you're riding a bike, compared to in LA where they want you to drive a 60k car.

Cheap rent...sometimes free!

Top notch "Medical" care

If you really want to meet beautiful women in Portland...take a salsa dancing class, any dance class and join a gym...I prefer the salsa dance class because you get to hold them on a trial basis...also take tennis lessons and check those gals out...you won't meet them if you listen to all these guys who live in their mom's basement and never see the sun

Volunteer at the library...you'll find women who've actually read a book

Yeah why are there so many homeless people in Portland? That's one thing I noticed while there. I heard there's a big heroin problem up there. Truth or myth?

I can't stress enough that I am not Californian. I am from Chevy Chase, MD.

I may almost be 34 but there has to be some 28-33 year old good looking women up there. If I wanted to fuck hot young girls I'd stay in LA. Been boning this 25 year old slut the past few weeks, she calls me master and sir and all that real kinky shit. I'm ready to settle down and have a family. Call me old fashioned.

So yeah....who has an apartment for rent? :smiley-laughing:
