With life off the court finally seeming to settle down, the 26-year-old Curry, once considered an all-star candidate, is concentrating on getting his career back together on the court. It is likely the Knicks would prefer to trade him to get more salary-cap relief for 2010 free agency, and Curry has hinted that he would welcome a trade out of New York for a clean slate elsewhere. Considering all the issues that surrounded him during the past season, Curry in March gave his perspective of how difficult it will be to put it all behind him. "We'd have to go to the playoffs and win the championship and I'd have to get MVP," he said. "That kind of stuff don't just go away.

What about Eddy Curry? When the guy was in shape he was a legit post threat with a polished offensive game. Now, it looks like he's starting to get his **** together. Maybe a new scenery, and most importantly, a clean slate could revive his career.

It is an interesting idea, but he wouldn't really be able to play alongside Joel or Greg, making him strictly a C, which we don't really need any more of.

You know, we are just finally getting rid of Frye, our last big guy who didn't like to bang, for a reason. Eddie Curry is much the same way. A big dude who doesn't really like to bang. He lacks motivation, and his off court life appears to be a train wreck. Not good.

I can't believe this guy averaged 19.5 ppg just two years ago when I looked up his stats, although statistically he's not a very good rebounder. I don't think he's a guy you take a chance on if you're Portland, at this stage. You need guys who you know can actually play.

I can see it now...."Look at me ,Hcp, look."...."Come and touch it, HCP."

Not a good rebounder, off the court problems don't go away cause he says they will. He is a center not a power forward so when would he play?

Yes, because I've missed Zach Randolph so much. NO!!!

Are you kidding me?

HELL FUCKING NO.

Eddy Curry in his career has averaged more turnovers than assists, steals, and blocks COMBINED.

Bad work ethic and hasn't don't much in the last couple years. Change of scenery is not going to fix that. My vote is NO.

We should try to get Dennis Rodman to come out of retirement too.

I ... uh ... mmmm ... ? ... wha ... mmmm ...

I feel like I must have swallowed a bottle of crazy pills. Curry? As in Fat Eddy? From the Knickerbockers? Eddy Curry?

wow.

I'd much rather have Zach Randolph. Randolph is a power forward, a better scorer and much, much, much, much, much, much better rebounder.

I'm not convinced that I couldn't get more rebounds in an NBA game that Eddy Curry. If I were allowed to play. Which I surely wouldn't be.

In conclusion, no on Eddy Curry.

I'd much rather have Joel Freeland, who is more active and athletic. I don't know if it would be a good idea to play Joel/Curry as twin towers. Other teams would just match their center against Curry, and Joel is not much of an offensive threat. Curry is just a bigger, less athletic Zach Randolph without the outside jumpshot. Besides, do you think Allen will want to take on his 11 mil a year contract?

We need Curry, Randolph, and Magloire.

barfo

That'd be awesome. The first ever Triple Towers.

I can see that. Surround the key with them, and have them all start butt-bumping their man into the paint. Eventually, they'd all meet in the center. They could then join hands in the middle creating an inpenetrable circle, Blake would then just throw ball into the center of the circle, and one of them could catch it and go up for the lay-in.

Good god no. Curry is one of the worst rebounding big men EVER, plays NO defense and is such a hopeless black hole he makes Zach Randolph look like Steve Nash. How could you even suggest such a thing?

My vote is for "joke post"

For Fez's sake I say we all just regard it as a joke post, whether or not that was the intent.

I'd rather have Elmore Spencer. Elllllllllllmoooooore.

Well, you have to take it in context. He thinks Oden is a worthless bust. He thinks Curry might be an intriguing alternative. Taken together, it's...interesting.
