Mags, found a new siggy for you

Carly gets the 'why did you suck as CEO' question.

Gives a bunch of BS... but says Tom Perkins now likes her.

Moderator points out that Perkins is a creep. Fiorina agrees.

Cruz: ha ha, awesome speech. Didn't answer the question about debt at all in order to complain about questions not being about the issues.

And then whines that he doesn't have time to answer the question.

barfo

Paul: we should shut down the government.
Christie: I'm going to face the camera and speak "the truth". Oh, wait, now I'm back to talking to the moderator.
Huckabee: Social security is theft. Don't blame the people on social security.
Christie: Let's tell seniors we aren't going to give them any social security.
Cruz makes an unexpected pot joke...

Cruz is ON tonight. For an extremely creepy guy, he's pretty fun. Just in time for Halloween!

barfo

Trump: bankruptcies are fine. I used the laws of the countries to my benefit.

Carson gets the Shkreli softball. Steps out of the batters box and cleans his cleats. Ends by saying that government causes the problem.

Christie gets the GM ignition switch softball. Hits a double. Then answers Carson's question for extra credit. We should not have price controls, but we should have laws against price gouging. Hmm.

Bush says he'll give Democrats a warm kiss.

Fiorina: I don't want to answer your question. I want to give the answer I had prepared for a different question.

barfo

Fiorina: I'm a man of the people. Big business is evil and in cahoots with government. Sure, that's believable coming from you.

Q: Rubio, you suck at financing your own life. Rubio: I didn't inherit money. My wife is stupid and understands finance even less than me.

Rubio: buy my book.

barfo

Kasich: ohio, ohio, ohio

Cruz: democrats like government and lawyers. Cruz looks at working women. His mom is here. My father was born again. Obama has driven millions of women into poverty.
I'm fighting for women and hispanics.

Fiorina: Hillary is a bad, bad woman. 92% of job losses under Obama were women. Hmm.

Carson: constitution protects gays, but they shouldn't be able to get married. I'm not a homophobe.

Carson: I was paid to speak to them, I use thier product, I was on the companies web page, but I had nothing to do with them.

Rubio: Advertise H1-B positions for 180 days. That's absurdly long.

Trump: Better get rid of superpacs.

Wow! You do play by play just like Howard Cosell.

Pretty impressive play by play, Barfo. Nice to see you're awake...unlike during the Democratic snooze-fest.

GOP cookie cutter answers.

Jeb makes me consider believing in reptilians.

Sadly, I had to go to dinner and didn't get to post the last portion of the debate.

This was easily the best debate so far. So much crazy.

I watched about half the debate, and although I don't agree with his views, I would say the winner was Rubio from what I saw. Cruz who freaks me out, I thought also had a good night. Just about everyone else I thought shit the bed.

So, this quackery company that Ben Carson claims to have had no involvement with...

Apparently, they funded his chair at Johns Hopkins. He appeared on their webpage. He does paid speeches for them. He takes the product. And he's done infomercials for them.

But yeah, he's got no involvement with them?

“I didn’t have an involvement with them,” Carson replied. “That is total propaganda, and this is what happens in our society. Total propaganda. I did a couple of speeches for them.”

Hmm.

Post GOP Debate Poll Results

Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm, conducted a random survey of 1,504 registered Republican voters in the U.S. regarding the presidential election. The poll has a margin of error of ±
2.5%. The total may not round to 100% because of rounding. The polls were conducted using automated telephone calls (IVR technology) and weighted by voting demographics. The poll was conducted for One America News Network.

My take on this debate:

Ted Cruz had the most amazing response of the debate, but it really wasn't on issues. It did set the mood for the candidates to rally against the very biased moderators, which was excellent!

I think Kasich, Paul and Jeb did the poorest in the debate. Paul really gets a pass because they really didn't give him an opportunity to really discuss issues, which I believe is his strong suite.

The major winners were Rubio (even though he was lying most the time and compared himself to democrat candidates), Trump (The negotiation of the 3.5 hour to 2 hour, refusing to sling mud at Carson, and smashing Kasich into a rock), Ted Cruz (Really showed his litigating and debate skills), and Christie (He's probably one of the best debaters out there).

Middle of the pack guys and gals are Carly Fiorina (Just doesn't have that "it" factor. Sounds way too rehearsed), Ben Carson (The stumble on his tax plan and affiliation knocked him back some), and Huckabee (He's just one of those guys you want to hug not elect).

The biggest loser was CNBC. They came ill prepared and completely exposed. They lost total control of the debate and even had a liberal strong attendance booing them for their obvious attacking and bias.

Any ideas on how to make these debates better???

Better? How can you improve on perfection?
