The Blazers' ceiling is not much higher than a first-round exit in the playoffs, and shooting for that poses its own risks. The uncertainty of the new CBA will affect Camby and Miller, who are both in their mid-30s and under team control for next season. Holding onto their contracts into 2011-12 may be a dangerous gamble for a franchise needing to rebuild, and teams fully engaged in the "win-now" philosophy could place a higher premium on known quantities at the deadline.

In the face of a potentially tumultuous offseason, it's time to look to the future and build around the core of Nicolas Batum, Wesley Matthews and LaMarcus Aldridge. A playoff appearance may boost morale, but Miller and Camby were brought in to bolster a team with championship aspirations. That team is no longer Portland.

Getting rid of Miller & Camby is hardly "blowing up the team" in my book. We would get nice pieces in return and we'd still have our three best players- Aldridge, Matthews, and Roy. Not to mention Oden.

It won't happen. Because "Cho" is too "Slow". Right now Anthony Randolph is available, and supposedly the asking price is just a backup PG in NY. Right now they are looking at Bassy from Minnesota. The Wizards are shopping Javale McGee, which would be a big mistake on their part to trade him just because of a night club incident. The Anthony Randolph thing is reminding me a lot of the Beasley situation, before he was dealt to Minnesota for mostly nothing. Meanwhile, every night we struggle with Dante Cunningham and Sean Marks. Most of us figured out that part of the team wasn't going to work as intended a while back. I am not sure what he is still "evaluating".

Is there more to the article? Because I am not seeing anything too earth shattering here. Did he say that trading Camby and Miller would in effect be "Blowing up The Blazers" or was that just Mixum making shit up?
