But this is a good thing. Yes, we might be losing our pick. Yes, this might hurt us in the offseason..... BUT there are some major positives from this.

We are finally getting to see Chauncey-ball and it's a fucking thing of beauty. This is some refreshing basketball. This is what I have been missing so badly in the last few years with all the iso ball and the selfish play and the horrible horrible horrible defense. We needed affirmation that Chauncey is a good coach and I think we are getting that in spades. We are also seeing how horribly toxic our team was.

We are also giving Simons a chance to really show what he can do. This is the first step towards earning the respect of the league and the refs. Simons shot 4 free throws. That's absurd. Morant shot 25. It's just silly.

We are allowing Chauncey to put his stamp on the team and this summer needs to be about going out and getting guys who buy into this system. That's how the Spurs were able to have success for so long. They got guys who fit their culture. We need to do that.

So whether we make the playoffs or not, we are really building something for next season, and that's so important. This is the first time I have felt really good about our team in a while. I have hope for the future and that's priceless.
