Where there were 2 illegals now there is 1.

That's a 50% reduction.

Court records indicate Gallo-Gallardo has lived with his wife in Portland for two years. His last address was on Southeast 160thAvenue. He was working full-time at the Pacific Seafood warehouse in Clackamas County. He had no prior convictions and no valid driver's license, according to the records.

No penalty or outrage over hiring or profiting off of illegals? If you want to greatly reduce the illegal immigration problem you need to put an end to that. No place to live, no way to earn money, no reason to come here.

couldn't agree more. Everyone needs to do their part.

Do we (I'm asking, I'm not up on OR or Portland recent law) not have laws on the books the penalize hiring of undocumented personnel? Is this another in a long line of unreported or unpunished lawbreaking that ended up with this woman's murder? If there isn't a law, I'm with you that I'll sign the petition for it tomorrow. I tend to think that, with the city's recent reluctance to enforce law during Occupy and AntiFa-plays-traffic-cop events, it may just be that Portland Police suck at their jobs. Or they're being directed to by their political leadership.

As for the "no jobs, no reason to come here", there are reports of 5000 people trying to come here who, afaik, don't have jobs lined up yet. :dunno:
