Blazers now looking for a backup PG? Makes sense to me. Not like they didn't have all summer and Darren Collison available. Wow. Thats also pretty alarming that after 3 days of camp... they have come to a conclusion that Bayless isnt a PG. Amazing that most here knew that after summer league 08. Its like.. really? We don't have a backup PG?

And our coach has no contract and neither does our supposed "franchise center"

Its only October 1st. Get ready for another year in Trailblazer land. What it must be like to go into camp with no major questions. See the Celtics, Bulls, Lakers, Heat... you know all teams who could win it all. Hell even the thunder have less questions.

Always look to improve the roster.

Every team has holes in their roster. No team has a quality backup at every single position.

But, if the Blazers are healthy going into the playoffs the roster is actually fine the way it is (assuming that Rudy get's his wish and is cut or traded for a scrub and a pick before the deadline).

Playoff rotation:

Starters: Miller; Roy; Batum; LA; Oden
Bench: Bayless; Matthews; Camby (maybe Cunningham and/or Pryz)
The rest of the roster is youth that can't complain about not being part of the rotation.

Sorry, that idea was mocked when I suggested it last year.

I like the idea of playing Roy at PG.
Both Jerryd and Rudy are Shooting Guards with at least some point-guard skills (Jerryd is able to bring the ball up-court, Rudy is a gifted passer) and I think we can make it work.

Just read reports of the "fan-fest" on oregon-live. I'm guessing Bayless' 12 Point, 8 Assist, 6 Rebound, 2 Turnovers performance should give us a lot of hope. If he can maintain such level of play, he's surely good enough to be our backup PG.

Exactly who would we have traded for Collison? Batum? Outside of our big 4, I don't see anyone that's better than Ariza- given the Hornets' needs.

Exactly. For one I don't buy that Jaynes knows anything. Secondly, Bayless is in the year where he should start turning the corner if he is going to. This year Bayless would have been a senior in college. Keep things in perspective.

Or better yet, it was offered TO the Blazers?

And if the team didn't do the trade you created on trade checker, it's proof you're right and the team is stupid.
