Looking at the standings last night we are sitting at 24-17, halfway through our season, at 7th in the west I wanted to take a look at some statistics because it feels like this has been an underwhelming season so far but after what I saw i'm really happy with what we have done so far.
We are 2nd in SoS so far with the 27th strongest remaining.
12-10 against .500 teams or above
One of six teams with a winning record against .500 teams
22 games against .500 or better opponents. Tied for 3rd in the league for opponents who have had .500 or better record
111.2ppg 15th in the league
110.0ppg allowed. 16th in the league
The real downside is we have more Road games then home games left.

The last 6 or so games have been a lot better then that dark stretch of 15 or so games before it and with how we seem to peek after AS break the lat few years i'm feeling really comfortable with this team going forward this year. I think we have a trade to make but with ownership of the team up in the air i'm not sure we will make one this year. Our D really needs to take a step up if we want to have aspirations for more then a one and done in the playoffs but i'm expecting big things the second half of the season. I don't see why we can't challenge denver for our conference.

I just checked, 14 of those 22 games were at The Moda & only 8 on the road

in the remaining games, 17 are against .500 teams but 11 of those games are on the road

Portland has 2 more games in this home stand and that will mean they've played 25 at home and only 18 on the road. After that, Portland will play 16 at home but 23 on the road

context can often add value, and it might in this case

I'm going to enjoy this season no matter what....if we over achieve...good..surprise me and make a playoff run!
I feel the same way as this forum and your posts. I'm going to have fun on here no matter what. I don't expect much from you, but IF you do make a quality post, it will surprise me and make this place that much better.

I look at it positively though. We’ve won our last two road games (against GS and Sacramento.) Both in OT. So the confidence and toughness needed to win on road is there.

Im think when the regular season is over seeds 2-11 will be all bunched up from devouring each other.
I'm still going with 51 wins which would be equivalent to upper fifties if we were using spring board diving points on degree of difficulty.
And guess what, we get out of the first round as 4,5,6,7 seed.
Also, Neil pulls off a trade that really helps balance the roster and will serve some GMOTY consideration.
Stotts will sign another 3 year extension.

Who will be the 1 seed? GS? As for a trade, Love isn’t available for another two weeks, right? I wonder if a team (maybe us?) has already made a deal under the table.

Yes The Warriors #1
Not sure if Love would be someone we would pursue as his extension of 120 million kicks in next year? He's 30 and injury prone too.
