Dirk Knows, and you should too if you watched the playoff's last year. I thoroughly believe we have the match-up advantage we just haven't put it together yet, AND I think owning home court will do just that for us and we take a game in Dallas.

"This series is far from over," he told TNT. "They're very good at home."

"I've always said, they have the best home court in the NBA ... they still have the best fans, in my opinion, in the NBA," Barkley said.

Dirk knows a thing or two about going up in series 2-0 or even 3-0 against us.

The series isn't over, but Portland is in a tenuous position because Dallas was the worst home team among Western Conference playoff teams and the best road team. So, relative to other playoff teams, Dallas survived their weakness and now moves to their strength.

Of course, Portland is a tremendous home team so will still definitely be the favourites over the next two games. And they'll have two more chances to take advantage of Dallas' (relative) weakness at home.

I don't know if our guys believe that, after seeing our performance in the fourth quarter.

blazers need 2 blowout wins.

OR

1 big blowout win and 1 come from behind, down 10 points in the 4th win to get back into the series.

Or two wins of any kind in the next couple of games.

no, we have to demorarize them! otherwise they just go back to Dallas confidently.

And Portland also goes back to Dallas confidently. After all...Dallas is the worst home team among the Western Conference playoff teams!

if we demolarize them it'll really take the teeth out of their offense.

I think we need a very close game 3 and beat Dallas, even when Dallas played their "A" game, then blow them out in game 4. Dallas is a fragile team. Gotta give them doubt and this way would really put the pressure on them.

I think that even if we eke out two triple-overtime games we're still going to be pretty confident turning this into a best-of-3. And if we win 2 in a row, every media member in the country will be talking about the 2006 Finals and how they choked away 4 straight games, and how they've been beaten in the first round 4 of the last 5 years, etc. We just need to get this back to Dallas and go from there.

Dirk is being diplomatic, it doesn't mean much.

The Blazers need to go back to Dallas with the series tied 2-2. Down 3-1, and the Blazers lose in 5 (the 2003 series notwithstanding...).

Um..PD? I hate to break this to you, but they lost the 2003 series in 2003.

blazers need to intimidate them. get some swagger. won't win a series w/o swagger.
