I do believe the whole "cap space in 09" plan was silly, and I said so from the get-go. You cannot predict the FA market 2 years in advance.

I don't think it was a "plan." I think it was a speculative asset and Pritchard saw it as such. The plan has been to steadily build talent and assets, one of which was cap space. That particular asset may or may not yield fruit...we'll have to see.

I think the idea that this cap space was the linchpin of Pritchard's "plan," that his actions were all based on making a big free agent strike, is incorrect.
