There's talent on this team, but Nate has no fucking clue what to do with it. Brandon Roy isn't out there anymore to mask Nate's bullshit. The team has tuned him out. The road is where a coach fires up a team to gut through and win games they should. There's none of that now. Nate has to fucking go, and now.
 
The talent level on this team really isn't that hot. LaMarcus is great and then after that ... I dunno?

One thing I can always count on is chris_in_pdx being levelheaded, and not flying off the handle like an emotional basketcase after a Blazer loss. It's that sort of stability that every board needs to keep things in perspective.

I am getting tired of Nate's schtick, "Umm, we just got out scrapped, out hustled, the other team wanted it more...."
 
I don't follow the board that close, so can someone tell me who the Nate supporters are and who the Nate haters are? Are there leaders of each? Are both sides civil?

I think Paul Allen should name Nate "Coach for Life" I mean, if his team is outscoring the opposition +4.8 points in the second half, clearly he's a master of in game adjustments. There's just no replacing this kind of basketball genius.

Stats don't lie. The poster I was responding to was posting about 2nd half adjustments by the opposing team. Portland is 2nd in the NBA in 2nd-half scoring margin. I'm not spinning that stat; I'm just sharing it, Wonder Woman.

I've been calling for a coach replacement for 2-3 years.

Q: I don't see anyone better available. Can you name one?

A: All last year I said Kevin McHale. He's now doing well with the Rockets. The real answer is, ANY fired head NBA coach, including Paul Westphal, would be as good as McMillan, given all the money Paul Allen spends on assistants and advance scouts.

As for whether we're civil, let's STOP being civil and run this guy out of town.

It's sac queens guys. We shouldn't have lost to them. Our head is incredibly not in it on the road. We've really never been a good road team. Yeah I blame Nate for that. I'm getting really tired of it too. Nate isn't a good coach or our road record would be much better. It's insane!

I am super homer and I can't live with this crap. It really is nates fault; then aldridges second. He must be a vocal leader and get in nates face if he believes shit needs to be done. Insane!
 
Roy called, says he's available to coach the team.
 
Nate is so stubborn he will never make a change. He's only made changes in the past because he was forced to do so due to all the injuries. Ironically, he probably is still the head coach of this team because of the injuries. I mean this is the same guy that started Steve Blake over Andre Miller...
 
We have a GM by committee, why not a coach?

I suggest a select S2 panel should text in game plans and instructions during timeouts, it's foolproof.
