LOL. Like that works. Many govt. employees are not appointed by the administration in power.

And your "all this is socialism" is full of bullshit.

Socialism is the ownership of the means of production. It's not redistribution of wealth by taxes.

It's the government owning GM and paying the workers with GM's income.
EXACTLY!!!! @dviss1 needs a lesson in civics

you really dumbed this post down to the lowest level...yeah, tell everybody to leave the country, that'll solve things

It really would. But then we could just wait for the revolution that becoming more and more necessary.
You are a good guy River, I hope you see the signs, so I will ask for Denny to be put on my list, not you.

Obama promised ObamaCare would cut costs and save the government money. Just like Sanders' promises.

The cost of Obamacare could rise for millions of Americans next year, with one insurer proposing a 50 percent hike in premiums, fueling the controversy about just how “affordable” the Affordable Care Act really is.

The eye-popping 50 percent hike by New Mexico insurer Blue Cross Blue Shield is an outlier, and state officials may not allow it to go through. But health insurance experts are predicting that premiums will rise more significantly in 2016 than in the first two years of Obamacare exchange coverage. In 2015, for example, premiums increased by an average of 5.4 percent, according to PwC’s Health Research Institute.

When Obama pitched the healthcare law to Congress, he said it would cost "around $900 billion" over 10 years. But his statement was misleading because the way the law was designed, the major spending provisions didn't kick in until 2014. This meant that 10-year estimates at the time the law was passed in 2010 were artificially low, because they included four years (2010 through 2013) in which spending was negligible.

The new CBO analysis finds that between fiscal years 2016 and 2025, spending on the law's expansion of Medicaid will cost $920 billion and insurance exchange subsidies will cost nearly $1.1 trillion. The major spending provisions, taken together, will total $1.993 trillion.

That has no public option and is a completely different plan than Single payer. Not sure why you're conflating the two...

Trump has no plan...

He has a pretty good plan, but you don't watch his town halls. I recommend you to listen to the second Hew Hewitt interview where he explains how he goes through an infrastructure deal. He also explains how he would work on foreign affairs.

You won't get that from a 3 minute interview where most the questions were about how he and fox have beef.

If Mags was given the following offer:

Mags, you will receive $1 billion cash, 72 virgins, and immortality. But, your taxes will go up $1.

Mags would say "NO! TAXES BAD!"

barfo

The hyperbole on this post is strong with this one.....

I do not want the government to dictate, by heavy taxation, insurance I feel comfortable with.

Now if someone actually put together a "LEGIT PLAN" like maybe vouchers for privatized healthcare, then I may support it. The moment the government decides on these social issues for me, will be the moment I will say TAXES ARE BAD!

I've seen everything Trump has done this campaign. I pay attention to both sides bro.

Okay, which building did he refer to when discussing renovation and infrastructure? This should be easy...

You saying the government owning GM is full of bullshit. Giving a company a loan has nothing to do with ownership. C'mon Denny... Stop pushing that bullshit right wing talking point...

Socialism is a social and economic system characterised by social ownership and/or social control of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy, as well as a political theory and movement that aims at the establishment of such a system.

means of production
noun
  1. (especially in a political context) the facilities and resources for producing goods.
"in this society, the means of production are communally owned"
As in "the government owns the factories"

Government never delivers what it promises.

ObamaCare or single payer.

I figure I'll just post on my personal trump fanboy thread....

BREAKING: TRUMP ON 60 MINUTES TAX PREVIEW: 0% FOR MOST AMERICANS
download-3.jpg

Donald Trump broke political ground today by saying on a widely seen 60 minutes interview on CBS that his tax plan is going to drastically cut taxes on middle income Americans by a huge margin:

47% of tax payers may wind up paying 0% federal Income tax under Donald Trump.

The Corporate Tax code will be revised as well, causing a great innovation in hiring, jobs, and economic growth.

Trump plans to close the deficit by bringing jobs back from other countries and will start placing tariffs on foreign goods, something the founding fathers did, which paid for the entire budget of the United States from 1795-1861

Trump’s policies may get a few boos from Hedge Fund managers, who he plans to increase taxes on, raising their rates from 0% to 15%, to make it more in line with what most Americans pay now.

Trump is riding the wave of the dumb demographic...ask reality TV watchers who's running for president..he's the only name they know. It's like Jay Leno with his Jaywalking skits over the years.

Trump isn't even that extreme. I'd argue he's moderate compared to those beside him in the Republican party. They are called "illegal" immigrants for a reason...I see no reason why securing the border is such a taboo subject. It's clear though that Trump is not qualified to speak on foreign policy.

I could see America improving under Trump, financially. I have no doubt that his team of business people are the best you can get.

I wish Jim Webb was more popular, he'd be a great compromise.

If Trump wants into the political game, he should try the Treasury Department and prove his worth
