So he can visit other schools.

:MARIS61: :MARIS61:

I guess people are hatin' on him pretty hard on twitter and facebook.

Have never quite understood that.

"My GF broke up with me so I called her a $*%$ $(*%&( and tweeted how she was a #*$(*# #$#) and how $(*# ugly her *($# )(#$) was. I hope she'll change her mind and come back"

:dunno:

Best tweet I read was rt’d By mosely. "I'm not upset about Tyner opening up his recruitment. Gotta make sure what's right for him. That's how we got DAT "

Also re the decommitment chip wants his commits to be done with visits.. .so in order to take visits he had to change his status. Doesn't mean Oregon is out of it.

So...Tyner broke up with his girlfriend and decommitted? So he can take visits? Dude, UCLA already has Craig Lee going there so they are going to be good when Jon Franklin is out to the NFL, so why bother? Oregon NEEDS him next year with Marshall. Doesn't he get that?

I had a feeling this might happen. The dude is putting up crazy numbers. The checkbooks are opening up. I'm sure the SEC will come calling with some phatty bags of cash.

After the news was reported, Tyner posted a message on his Twitter account: “How do I know where I'm truly happy if I haven't put myself out there yet? Still love my ducks. Gotta do what I gotta do.”

Tyner made national headlines this season when he ran for 643 yards and 10 touchdowns in a win over Lakeridge. In seven games, he has rushed for 2,328 yards, averaging 12.7 yards per carry for the Warriors (7-0).

Tyner is rated as the No. 4 senior running back in the nation by Scout.com and No. 6 by Rivals.com. He orally committed to Oregon in November.

Aloha coach Chris Casey said Tuesday night that he wasn’t aware of Tyner decommitting from Oregon, but that schools have continued to pursue him, as well as Aloha senior lineman Brayden Kearsley, who committed to Brigham Young in Sept. 2011.

“He and Brayden have stayed open to those schools, so people are going to stay on them,” Casey said.

There are a lot of corrupt NCAA programs around the nation (including the Pac 12).

Like I've said in the past, if you want to begrudge the SEC for their success, you have to point to the better high school football programs in the southeast. If you look at most of the prominent SEC schools' rosters, the great majority of their team is from the southeast, with most of their roster being from the state the university is in.

Cam Newton was paid. Do you disagree?

Looks like Green's visit vs Stanford just got all that much more interesting huh? If I'm the Ducks I lock down Green as the featured back. As for Tyner, he had months and months to take visits and why does one have to decommit to take visits? It hasn't stopped Nkemdiche from visiting Old Miss and other schools while being verballed to Clemson?

One week ago that idiot service Bleachers Report is telling the nation Tyner is a top 5 not going to sway recruit, today they look like the national inquirer again with egg on their faces!

Chip Kelly's recruiting policy/preference on his commits taking visits.

My guess is it's the money. He's starting to hear some numbers and it's peaking his interest.

but it couldnt have been money when we swayed DAT (USC), Darron Thomas(LSU), Josh Huff (TCU), Bralon Addison and Chance Allen (aTm) Arik Armstead (Cal) etc etc's of the world when they were committed to other programs but chose to come here right? :devilwink:

I'm gonna steal this post from Tacduck on DT cause its a very valid point!

Tyner is just the beginning....

Not for Oregon necessarily, but so many kids have committed so early this year that this is going to be a record year (if there could be such a thing) for de-commits and re-commits and changing all over the place. When you commit without playing your Senior year and having only really visited one school, it is really easy to question that decision. Anyway, expect to see a lot more of it this year. Still 3 1/2 months to go and a lot of football to be played, a lot of coaches to be fired (Hello Mack Brown, Gene Chizik, etc.!!!)

Ducks will get there's, Chip and Co. have never let us down.

Well, here's the thing... I don't have a problem with Tyner shopping around. I would. If I was a kid in his position and I could go around the country for free and visit college campuses and have sex with hot college co-eds, fuck ya I would.

But he already committed. He already gave his word. He sucked Oregon's dick for over a year and now he wants to go off and look around. Pretty lame if you ask me. I know you can attribute it to youth, you can say DAT did the same thing, but that doesn't make it alright. I think it just shows how little these kids take their commitments seriously.

Obviously there are some extenuating circumstances, but this dude has been repping Oregon hard since he was a Sophomore, and now we're not good enough? THAT'S the difference.

It may be on the up-and-up, his reasosns may be fully legit, but it still sucks donkey balls for the Ducks!

Cam Newton was paid. Do you disagree?

From the evidence we've seen... I agree. And the money forced him to choose one SEC school over another SEC school after transferring from his original SEC school.

Reggie Bush was paid. Do you disagree?

Not to go there. He was paid so the agent could represent him once he went pro. That aside, I agree with you that one of the biggest reasons why the SEC is so dominate is the same reason why Texas is so good (usually). HS football is waaaaaaaaaaaay bigger than all other sports. Growing up in Portland I can't think of 1 person who played any sort of youth football. This excludes the suburbs, I know they have youth leagues. Hell, even the best football player to come out of Portland in the past few years, Suh, played soccer until at least middle school.

This Tyner news has rattled people but I'm not sure it should! Tyner is on a free hats and tshirts tour and if he just got dumped by his GF a trip to LA will get him over her in a hurry! Sooo....

If Tyner wants to be a two sport star in football and track, Oregon is the ONLY place for him to be, especially with DAT doing both sports with him!!!! No other school in the NATION can offer Tyner that kind of a speed tandem. Of course Tyner knows this too!

UCLA and Mora are going to get worked by USC for years to come and ASU is also coming on.... UCLA isn't known for their football or track so get the Tshirts Tyner and we'll see ya this spring!

Hey but don't take to long posturing, a big southern kid from my home might just take your spot!

STOP interfering with my insults to LA & the SEC.
